@DR The short answer is yes. These are user mode hooks, so a determined app could get around them, but they would specifically have to be aware of the hooks and actively bypass them. This is a limitation of InjectDll. @Binky What makes you think there *is* a workaround? If flashplayer needs access t...

@needsomehelpplease You need to get DbgView working first and enable debug messages in sbiextra.ini. Hopefully that will clue you into what is going on. You can also open the sandboxed process with something like Process Explorer to see if the sbiextra.dll has really been injected. @budyn I'm not he...

It is a zip file, and the password is in the file name (hint: after the = sign).

Are you serious? Everything you need is in the first post, and additional documentation is in the download.

Have you installed the VC++ 2010 runtimes as the first post mentions? If so, you'll have to start a bug report thread as to why Sandboxie is not seeing that installation for injected DLLs.

Ugly workaround... run the sdelete command twice. It will delete the empty folder on the second pass.

Re: Chrome updae

"wraithdu" you guessed right. What is "GoogleUpdateOnDemand.exe" ? i haven't come across of it on my computer. It might be new in Chrome 12? I just noticed it recently. I think it might be the new update checker that launches from Chrome's About dialog. Also ... what is "IPC" in "IPC access" ? IPC ...

If I'm getting the gist of this thread, you want to stop GoogleUpdate from EVER running, either inside or outside the sandbox. Correct? If so, it's actually a very simple two step process: 1) Sandbox Settings -> Program Start -> Forced Programs -> add GoogleUpdate.exe and GoogleUpdateOnDemand.exe If...

At first glace nothing jumps out except you have the same two processes forced to both messenger boxes. That's not going to work.

Yep, same problem for me. I have FF4 RC1 installed outside the sandbox. It's been running in 3.53.06 for quite some time without issue. I updated to .07, totally wiped all the sandboxes, and now it won't start at all. In Sandboxie Control I can see firefox.exe start, but RpcSs and DcomLaunch don't e...

I don't really understand what you're getting at, but internally there is no reference to a specific file name... that would be poor programming IMO. If you feel the need to rename the DLLs on your system for whatever reason, go for it!

I have no interest in comments about or troubleshooting someone else's software in my thread. I should also point out that I have permission from tzuk to pub...
