Sandboxie Failed To Communicate
Windows 8 Pro x64 Sandboxie 4.06 64bit (installed as upgrade over other 4.0X versions in the past). I've recently started getting these errors, but with all manner of program names that run within a sandbox, chrome, jdownloader etc (they aren't all in the same sandbox either, though i have tried tha...

Ah that's possible, one of them does automatically open in fullscreen mode and maybe when it does it hides other windows rather than minimising them..? In general though, if something is being terminated by Sandboxie, it's not really indicative of the fact that one of the processes running in the sa...

I gave up trying to run BOINC in a Sandbox. That doesn't say much though because unless it just works I'm largely at a loss for what to do. However, if you use the Advanced setup options when installing the BOINC client, you do have the option of setting it to run under a low privilege user account ...

Apologies for the unrelated nature of this question, but: I have sandbox that I run or install all of the freeware and portable apps that I use in. I have recently noticed that Sandboxie seems to be automatically terminating things (including for instance the Windows Explorer Process when run inside...

Game Error - Dishonored
Running 3.74 x64 on Windows 8 Pro x64. Program: Bethesda - Dishonored Hi, As an experiment I tried installing and running a game from Sandboxie to see what sort of impact it has on performance (if any, I have tried this on a few VM's over the years and whilst they are getting better its still margin...

There is a way to prioritize the settings by editing the configuration file manually and moving selected sandbox sections higher in the file. Sandboxie looks at "forced program" type settings in the order they appear in the configuration file. Ah, thats golden, that's exactly what I was after. Than...

Okay, thanks for the response. what you have provided is what I already had in mind as a way I could do this (create a sandbox and use forced folders on all drive letters that are currently unused) but this isn't as idiot proof as what I had hoped for. My question was if there was a more dynamic way...

An all encompassing Sandbox?
Can you make a sandbox that will encompass all as yet unknown drives/drive letters without overrding other sandboxes? The intent of this is to have a sandbox that will automatically capture auto-runs and the like, from devices that people may attach to the PC. I realise I could probably do this by a...

Writing cache files to a different drive when sandboxed?
If I have the following setup, what happens? 1. I have my E: (which is a physical SSD). The host folder path for my sandbox is on E: 2. I have my internet browser (waterfox) running in my sandbox that is hosted on E: 3. I also have a B: (which is a ramdisk). 4. I change the browsers cache file path ...

Microsoft Outlook - Can't access data files
Hi, Software: I'm using Sandboxie 3.74 64Bit on Windows 8 Pro x64. I'm having an issue with Microsoft Office Outlook 2010. Setup: Outlook is installed to the host machine, but is set as a forced program to run in a sandbox called Email_iTunes. My outlook data files (.pst and .ost) are stored in: My ...
