That is a clever trick... I personally hadn't thought of doing that, and I can see how it could be effective. Unfortunately, a lot of malware seems to learn how to execute without proper extensions. I often see .tmp files running in explorer, and are usually a form of executable (probably natively a...

finally found my login again... Is there any intention to improve the anti-executable portion of the code? Sandboxie is pretty airtight for writes, but reads have always been a threat. If Sandboxie had the capability of not running anything downloaded into the sandbox, it would pretty much be a perf...

Chrome + drop my rights = no history or profile changes

Sandboxie 32-bit, XP, 3.46 and 3.442 Using drop my rights, the chrome profile does not get changed. The lower level account will not be able to save history, or cookies, etc. I changed this by giving write access to specific files within the chrome profile directoring to "users". If you have the suspected driver at fault from the minidump, that would be very helpful.

Some times other security software can cause problems too. Tzuk is probably going to want to know your sandboxie version, OS and 32-bit or 64-bit, other apps, result of the minidump analysis, etc..

I use the "drop my rights feature" along with "automatically delete contents of sandbox", and I believe those are prob...

If I may chime in, this is a perfect situation for software restriction policies (a built in windows professional feature). run gpedit.msc Computer configuration->Windows Settings->Secuirty Settings->Software restriction policies Right click on software restriction policies, and create a new policy....

This is exactly what I was looking for though! Thanks.

I will post the Chrome thing under bug reports, because I'm guessing it does not belong here..

"Automatic" Recovery for specific folder

First, let me say I love Sandboxie. Its security is great, and it has minimal impact on my system. I feel bullet proof. I am having a few "usability" issues that are bugging me. Here is my use case, I hope this makes sense to you. 1) Automatic recovery for specific folder - I love sandboxie, but I d...
