Tested 5.01.10 and Skype is able to detect the audio devices again. Will let you know if I notice any new or other related problems along the line but for now good job and thanks! :D

Re: Crash, temp file?

From his text I assume he's talking about Adobe Illustrator, sadly I'm unfamiliar with this particular program but my first guess would be the standard temp dir: C:\Users\*INSERT_USER_NAME_HERE*\AppData\Local\Temp for vista and above so in a sandbox it'd be something like: (default=)C:\sandbox\*INSE...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.9)

So on a whim I did a virgin install of Windows 7 x86 - Skype detects devices, no problem . Then I did a virgin install of Windows 7 x64 - Skype showed the problem once again. As a virgin install of Win 7 x64 with skype produces the same issue I can only assume that you should be able to see these re...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.8)

Testing Skype in Windows 10 was a no go. Inside sandboxie the menu is missing. You can see it when it's on the 'connecting' phase but there is no way to get to the settings at that point. Once it's loaded the menu is gone and shortcuts like Alt+T don't work. It threw up a lot of errors like 'out of ...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.8)

Tested 5.01.8 on my real Windows 7 x64 today, once again Skype had trouble with audio but instead of a blank list I saw this: Microphone {0.0.1.00000000}.{32dfff67-1c99 Speakers {0.0.0.00000000}.{5c76cdef-c4dd checking with regedit shows they are related to my actual sound card and devices however o...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.7)

What game is it? You can run Resource Access Monitor in SBIE (In sb control, File >) and start that before loading the game and copy that to the clipboard. However, a lot of online games are not working at this time. It may be due to a DirectX12 issue and SBIE. 5.01.3+ breaks skype from finding aud...

Re: User Accounts setting

Can't really help you there as my experience had nothing to do with sandboxie but I remember encountering a similar error with secpol.msc/gpedit.msc entries searching for users in Win 7 after removing some OS components. In my case a registry entry that should have been kept was missing. Dunno if it...

Re: SBIE Bypassed?

I'm one of those people who hate UAC. I run as an admin with UAC set to automatically elevate. I also recognize there are risks involved by not using it and have set my global policy to automatically deny limited user requests for elevation. This is 'one' of the reasons that I use runas (in shortcut...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.6)

IMO Craig recommend latest final 4.20 for Windows 7, 5beta is for win10 only if you dont experience trouble on win7. if so then check 5beta and if it solves the issue get happy. if not get a ticket ;) at least most problems here concern win0 - those should seperated from 5beta on win7! (new thread)...

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.6)

After a few days I ended up going back to 4.20. Got tired of apps randomly vanishing. This happened in both PaleMoon and Skype. No errors, just poof- gone. In addition with 5.01.6 Skype seemed to think it couldn't detect my sound card. Sound still worked but my outgoing voice was 'choppy.' Since ret...

Re: FIFA 15 Sandboxie

Minor clarification, by v4 and up I expect he simply meant that 4.x versions (or lesser ones of course) aren't compatible with Windows 10. v5 is in beta stages and being tested/improved for compatibility w Win10 however. I do recall skimming over a few other FIFA threads though so it's certainly not...

Just installed 5.01.6 on Windows 7 x64 and tested a few apps and flash videos. No issues so far but you'll certainly hear from me again if I do encounter any :P

Re: Moving the Sandboxed Program to another computer.

If you have steam (in a sandbox or not) you can copy the entire directory to a new drive/computer and simply launch the steam.exe. It'll still recognize it's running from a new system and require authentication though. As for everything else, (assuming it has the same directory structure) steam and ...

Re: Browser Spans to all Displays.

hmm I have two displays but haven't seen this on my end. Instead of the nvidia control panel, could you check the windows screen resolution properties and see if it shows 'extend these displays' or something else? Also have you checked to ensure your video drivers are up to date? I'm on Windows 7, w...

Snapshots-type feature

I can't say how many users are like myself and happen to keep some programs as persistent boxes but I'm hoping I won't be the only one. I like to keep my system clean and have ended up using sandboxie this way for quite a few programs along with ease-of-use as I usually re-install my OS every few mo...
