Re: Norton 360 - Unable to launch web browsers
The problem is related to Norton. You might be able to fix your issue by disabling Norton's toolbars. You can also try turning Norton Exploit Prevention setting to Off, doing that allows Firefox and IE to run for some users. For others, uninstalling and reinstalling Norton fixed the problem. If non...

Thanks. None of that helped. This is what I'm using now:

Firefox 56.0.1 (64 Bit)

Can no longer open Firefox with Sandboxie 5.18 or 5.20
Ever since I upgraded to 5.20 I have not been able to open Firefox with Sandboxie. All I get is a Mozilla Crash Reporter window. I thought if I reverted to 5.18 that would fix it, but I just did and everything is the same. I'm using Win 7 Pro 64 bit.

Re: UPDATED*Chrome|Firefox|Etc|SBIE1222 ERROR|After Win Upda
Update : I saw the post about disabling Flash "protected mode" but I did not want to do that for security reasons . However, I decided to disable Flash altogether . So far after doing that I have been able to use the browser in Sandboxie without a single incident. Having Flash disabled is also not ...

Re: **Chrome|Firefox-SBIE1222 ERROR|After Win Updates|**
Something very odd just happened. I accidentally clicked the icon to launch my default browser in Sandboxie, and for the first time since this whole SBIE saga began , my computer went straight into BSOD as a result. Do not pass go, do not collect $200. You could tell it was just about to open the br...

Re: **Chrome|Firefox-SBIE1222 ERROR|After Win Updates|**
I am able to use IE in Sandboxie now as a temporary measure, although I normally don't use that one and use FF instead. It was good to be able to find this topic addressed in the forum, as initially I had no idea it resulted from the Win updates or that it was a widespread phenomenon. Sandboxie is o...

Re: Open a 2nd Sandbox Duplicates Everything Already Open in
If you open a new instance of Firefox in another sandbox, it still uses the same profile files that the first instance is using. If you also allow the first Firefox instance to save session information outside of the sandbox (information on tabs that are or were open), it's likely that the second F...

Re: Open a 2nd Sandbox Duplicates Everything Already Open in
Okay, these are my settings for the "default" sandbox: Recovery: c:\Users\Public\Documents c:\Users\My_PC_Name\Pictures c:\Users\My_PC_Name\Downloads c:\Users\My_PC_Name\Documents c:\Users\My_PC_Name\Desktop [c:\Users\My_PC_Name\Favorites] Delete: set to delete all contents on close To my knowledge ...

Re: Open a 2nd Sandbox Duplicates Everything Already Open in
P.S. I think it's even been happening since before I switched from Windows XP 32 bit to Win 7 64 bit, which was right around the last official day of MS security support for XP.

Re: Open a 2nd Sandbox Duplicates Everything Already Open in
Every sandbox is independent. Do you have FF Sync enabled? No, don't use that and never have. Don't even have a sync account created for FF. Sandboxie should not be copying from another sandbox. But it will copy from your "real system". Well that's certainly what I always thought. I never even use ...

Open a 2nd Sandbox Duplicates Everything Already Open in 1st
This change has been occurring for a long time now, but it never used to occur a few years ago give or take. Now, isn't the whole concept of a "sandbox" that each one is supposed to be clean and completely independent from all the others? I've had Sandboxie for a number of years now, but somewhere a...
