I ran a test with MPC-HC x64, SBIE 5.11.6 with my current Sandboxie.ini and all went well, including embedded videos like Youtube.

Re: Prevent application from restarting computer
Thanks for the update, refreshing news. Now I'm confused though, I was using TeamViewer (sandboxed at the start) on Mr. X's PC the other day [he later removed the box so I could really hack him, erm um test things] and was able to reboot the pc (didn't try a shutdown) but I know it uses a service o...

Re: Skype started unsandboxed proccess
My friend syrinx is going to bring some feedback later today. All I can say is that he narrowed down the problem ( he spent 4 hours in my PC ) and testing in his own VMs for the time being.
Let's see what are his findings later on.

Is it normal for Sandboxie to miss to run sandboxed a Slimjet instance while being a forced program? It just happened when I was testing an older version of Skype and clicked on "Don't have a Skype Name?" http://i.imgur.com/RwqlQyf.png Here in Proccess Explorer you can see both instances of Slimjet ...

Re: Petya!
I agree. This will bring much more attention to Sandboxie's capabilites and works as advertisement as well. I'd like to see videos MalwareX vs. Sandboxie in this forum.Nix wrote: Can you make a demo of SBIE against Petya?! Probably updating the cryptolocker demo in this site.

Re: Better to INSTALL browser in SB?
But no one can generalize sandboxing. Different sandboxing software performs in different ways. Some use different techniques than others to do sandboxing. Sandboxie is the best in its methods and techniques.Dirk41 wrote: Sorry guys i wasn't refferring to SB but any general sandbox

Re: stop messages [SOLVED]
ok thank you. exactly, i was uploading to virus total. so you don't know what is it for? Craig doesn't know either? I agree with Bo, you can either let it run or not, if you let it run you would be asked to let it access the Internet, again let it or not. Programs still working fine afaik. Moreover...
