Re: ESET NOD32 AV program update causing SBIE issues
Hello Barb, Your response demonstrated just how complicated troubleshooting these issues can be! Fortunately (and surprisingly) I have witnessed a turn of events after "repairing" ESET AV via Control Panel Remove or Change a Program. I opted for repair, and so far all is back to normal. My next step...

Re: Office Outlook 2010 opens minimized
You say SBIE doesn't have any control over the window being maximized or not, but you did read that " If I disable forced programs, Outlook opens in maximized condition ", right? FWIW, I made sure the maximized condition was selected in the Properties dialog, per your advice. It's a small (mostly an...

Office Outlook 2010 opens minimized
Running W7x64, SBIE v5.11.5, MS Outlook 2010.
Problem: Since about v5.10, Outlook email client opens minimized in taskbar when sandboxed, instead of maximized like it used to.
If I disable forced programs, Outlook opens in maximized condition.

Re: HitmanPro Alert crashes Chrome in Sandboxie
I posted this on Wilders and should do the same here, as it has direct impact on the topic as I first posted it. A couple of days ago, I discovered that HMPA was protecting lots of applications, but not Chrome or Foxit Reader. Amazing that it took me a couple of days to realize that. Embarrassing, a...

Re: HitmanPro Alert crashes Chrome in Sandboxie
I wanted to post back to say that I now have all three programs (HitmanPro.Alert, Chrome and Sandboxie) running together successfully on two different 7x64 computers. The key to making this happen, after such an unsatisfactory initial attempt, was to uncheck the Sandboxie software compatibility sett...

Re: HitmanPro Alert crashes Chrome in Sandboxie
Hi Craig. The problems I have been referencing pertain to HitmanPro Alert (HMPA), not HitmanPro.Craig@Invincea wrote:I have not tried HitMan Pro as of yet, but I can check it.
HMP (a second opinion scanner), has no issues with SB. HMPA (an exploit blocker), on the other hand, can be problematic.

Re: HitmanPro Alert crashes Chrome in Sandboxie
Hi Pete. That would be a major step for me... to drop Chrome.
Which browser are you running? And HMPA/SB run side-by-side no problemo?

Re: HitmanPro Alert crashes Chrome in Sandboxie
Hey Henry. I would have thought that SB's software compatibility setting would be enough to make the two programs work together.
Maybe I'll look into MBAE. Last time I checked, they were at odds with one another. Are you running Chrome browser?

Re: HitmanPro Alert crashes Chrome in Sandboxie
Forget it. I grew tired of messing around trying to get HMPA to run right (for me!). Definitely would not work right with Sandboxie, and even when I disabled SB (something I dislike doing VERY MUCH), I eventually experienced issues with HMPA and Chrome opening links in new tabs or new windows. HMPA ...

HitmanPro Alert crashes Chrome in Sandboxie
Running 5.01.6 (64bit). Installed HitmanPro Alert and set SB software compatibility for HMPA. Chrome (64bit) crashed repeatedly. Turned off SB and Chrome does fine. I have searched the forum for info on HMPA, and all I find is instructions to add [\Device\NamedPipe\hmpalert] globally, which I assume...

Re: Hiding message not working
Hello Paul, and thank you for the reply. It has taken me a while to respond due to other obligations, and also in order to test a few things on the subject computer. Here is what I have found, and have been reporting... The 'Hide messages' feature appears not to be working fully (or properly) on one...

Re: Hiding message not working
Did you overwrite your sandbox.ini when you changed beta versions? That's where the list of hidden messages is stored. What I am saying is that I am clicking on hide the message, but it is not being hidden, it keeps coming back. And I reverted to .5 from .7 just like I do when I go forward... over ...

Anybody ever had trouble hiding a message? I am all of a sudden getting a ton of messages that say: SBIE2214 Request to start service 'bits' was denied due to dropped rights SBIE2219 Request was issued by program SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe [Chrome] SBIE2220 To permit use of Administrator privileges, pl...
