Re: Sandboxie fails to stop malware

I think that something like that once happened to me. But nothing "ventured out of then sandbox". So it's all good. Interesting, I had a similar experience too(but for me, this program managed to escape Sandboxie), but with a game trainer that I didn't fully trust to run in normal windows mode as i...

http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=7749&p=50600 Ahhh, interesting: What fuss? 64-bit versions of Windows, before Windows Vista with Service Pack 1, have the limitation of PatchGuard , which restrict the interaction with the kernel, while at the same time not providing adequate ...

Re: Doesn't want to install under Windows XP x64 Pro?

Around v.4 there was some massive changes. Even the original creator of SBIE did not officially support XP Pro 64. That is an entirely different Windows Kernel. Well then in the changelogs I saw it said support for Windows 64-bit under v2.1: Version 2.1 Released on 5 October 2005. Changes since ver...

Re: Doesn't want to install under Windows XP x64 Pro?

*UPDATE#3* It would seem prior to v3(or at least the versions I'm installing do...), a reboot is required for an upgrade(or downgrade in this case)... Ok, v2.84 crashed MS Paint, wouldn't load sandboxed, but IE and FF seems to work fine. Eventually in time it BSOD on me.... v2.82 BSOD after a few m...

*UPDATE#2*

Ok, it just BSOD with error code 0x109: Modification of system code or a critical data structure was detected, whilst I was reading an internet article with IE8 sandboxed.

Re: Doesn't want to install under Windows XP x64 Pro?

Ok, so I went through the old versions one by one, including the ones for 32-bit of the version if they don't have a 64-bit version available to download. It would seem I have managed to get v3.01 installed as the rest(newer than 3.01) either spat out an error message stating you are running a 64-b...

Re: Doesn't want to install under Windows XP x64 Pro?

XP 32 bit is supported... However: From this page: http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?FrequentlyAskedQuestions#SandboxablePrograms "...What are the requirements to run Sandboxie? Sandboxie works on Windows XP, Windows Vista, Window 7, Window 8 & 8.1 and Windows 10 (Minus the Edge browser and Metro(...

I double checked and the download page and says it still supports XP....so either that hasn't been updated in a while and they have stopped XP support or it's just my system not working for some reason.... Doesn't say anythi...
