Re: Quick Recovery window suggestions
I second these suggestions, but I propose that they apply to the Immediate Recovery window.

Re: Delete Sandbox fails?
Thank you Barb. As I wrote earlier, the problem is not continuous and therefore I cannot reproduce it at will. I already had the suggested setting in the configuration almost exactly as you suggest. It was missing the asterisk at the end. I have changed it accordingly. I'll monitor the situation and...

Delete Sandbox fails?
I sometimes get a message that "Delete Sandbox DefaultBox: delete command failed". It continues with more information and ends with an indication that the system cannot find the file specified. The last time this happened was after I executed "Terminate All Programs".

Re: Problem with animated gifs and Opera?
Personally, I use on a regular basis 3 sandboxes for Firefox. One is highly restricted where only Firefox can run and connect to the internet. The other 2 are less restricted. I use them for different purposes and dont have to think when to use this sandbox or that sandbox. That comes automatically...

For good order's sake, I confirm that the gif plays correctly in Opera.Barb@Invincea wrote: ↑Mon Jul 24, 2017 2:31 pmTry this regular gif and let me know if it works inside Opera Sandboxed:

Re: Problem with animated gifs and Opera?
Thank you again for your assistance. I followed the instructions in the link that you sent me and based on seeing the animated gif work, I consider the problem solved. I don't quite understand fully the discussion in that thread (following the link to the end), but now I have now a working browser. ...

Re: Problem with animated gifs and Opera?
Cocoon, I installed Opera in a sandbox, and the gif works fine. The dog plays with the lemon. Try a new sandbox with default settings, and make this sandbox your Opera sandbox. I didn't change any settings in Opera. The version I tested is 46.0.2597.57. Windows 10 Home. Thank you for the reply. I h...

Problem with animated gifs and Opera? [SOLVED]
The following animated gif is not playing in a sandboxed Opera browser. It plays fine in a sandboxed Chrome and non-sandboxed Opera. I noticed it with other animated gifs too. Opera Beta 47.0.2631.28 and Windows 10 Pro. EDIT: Looking around I found this discussion that may be relevant. https://www.r...

Re: SBIE2203 when run directory opus
Thank you very much. I had a hunch that they may written in the Configuration, but I didn't dare to try it until I would be certain
Also, I had seen that menu item, but it was at the very beginning of my using Sandboxie and I didn't understand it then. Later on, I forgot that it existed.

Re: SBIE2203 when run directory opus
Thank you for the advice. I'll try it out a little more before I make sure that the program works fine. Then I'll hide it.
However, I'm curious. Is there a way to see which messages one has hidden, and possibly unhide them in the future if necessary?

Re: SBIE2203 when run directory opus
As an update, I notice a similar problem with SBIE v. 5.20 and Directory Opus v. 12.6 on Windows 10 Pro. However, in my case the message that appears is: "SBIE2203 Failed to communicate with Sandboxie Service: *GUIPROXY_00000001 - dopus.exe [C0000024]" repeated nine times (!) and I do see the yellow...

Re: Looking for a detailed tutorial
Thank you for the advice bo.elam. Quite obviously you have a lot of experience with Sandboxie. I'll take things slowly try and learn in the process, and hopefully I shall not be too much of a nuisance whenever I have to ask questions.
