Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
I disabled hardware aceleration and as mentioned in previous posts I don't run AV (Firefox 41 doesn't have the option:browser.download.manager.scanWhenDone). Firefox is still hanging when I download things. Last night it became unresponsive after trying to download/view a PDF. Very frustrating.

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
Hi Craig I find this issue intermittent which is frustrating. Having said that I am still having Firefox freeze on me when downloads try to complete. I appreciate you testing. I run no AV at all so I know for sure that its not this. A clean Firefox profile and/or new Sandboxie sandbox doesn't seem t...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
I have upgraded Sandboxie to 5.06 on the weekend. This hasn't helped with my downloading issue with Firefox (or with the strange look of the Firefox minimise/maximise/close buttons when sandboxed). If you read my previous posts you'll see that I experience this download problem even with a fresh ne...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
@Xy667, Um, the Windows update did break SBIE. However, we posted a workaround and a new beta within hours. Beta 5.05.2 Addresses that. We're 2 releases past that with 5.06 RC. The announcement addresses particular issues since Oct 15th. I would advise your to upgrade. As for FF errors downloading,...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
Try Sbie 4.20 and try a few downloads, here it is perfectly fine. You can overwrite your 5.06/5.04 with 4.20. Joe That doesn't sound like a good idea, Joe (remember, October's Windows updates breaks SBIE). http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=21911 Bo Could it have affected the F...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
I see the same type thing on downloads with Fx and Sbie - the freeze happens a good percentage of the time - but not every time. You can test on the zip downloads listed here; https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/firefox/nightly/latest-mozilla-central/ I have tried everything - empty new sandbox, different ...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
xy667, have you tested running Firefox in a new sandbox?...don't copy settings from any existing sandbox. I would also test downloading after changing the location of the downloads folder and test downloading with and without direct access to the download folder. Bo I have three unique sandboxes an...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
Good thinking. I have created a fresh new Firefox profile. No addons or extensions. As soon as I install the Brushed Metal theme my minimise/maximise/close buttons go all "white" and look weird with the theme. If I run the same Firefox profile unsandboxed then the buttons look fine with the theme so...

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
So after a day I haven't had Firefox crash yet after upgrading to 5.06. I downloaded a few files yesterday after the upgrade and it was fine. I will see how the coming week goes as this issue was intermittent but hopefully 5.06 fixes this issue.

Re: Firefox crashes after downloading files
Thats helpful, thanks Craig. The only issues I have been having have been with Firefox crashing when downloading files and I also find my minimise/maximise/close buttons on Firefox looks strange (possibly because I run a Firefox theme?). I have installed RC 5.06 so will see how this goes and report ...

Firefox crashes after downloading files[LOCKED]
I'm running Sandboxie 5.04 on Windows 10 64bit with Firefox 41.0.2. One annoying issue I seem to be having intermittently is that when I download files (no matter what size), when it gets to the end of the download Firefox becomes unresponsive and I have to "end task" it and relaunch it. This only h...

Re: Roboform + protected storage
Navigate to and select the "My RoboForm Data" folder and OK your way out. I have just changed this and will report back if it works. I doubt it though as when I tried running Firefox AND Roboform WITHOUT Sandboxie the protected storage option did not work (ie: I kept getting prompted for the master...
