I now made my "Default" Sandbox a 1:1 copy of the second sandbox, called [Sandbox2_Test].
Result: Same bug!!! -> The alexo.org asteriods2 game will not start, will be stuck at "loading 100%".

Aaah Sorry. I figured it out myself. I had some garbage in my e:\sandbox\drive\c\winprog\thunderbird folder due to an unsuccessful upgrade of Thunderbird while he was running in the Sandbox.
Deleted said folder - now works like a charm. SORRY!!!
