Re: slow finish to downloading mp3
that was it. once i disabled recovery everything went back to normal, but i wonder what changed in sbie that caused this problem. i have been using it for years and never had the problem before the last few months. when it was stalled there was no significant increase in cpu or ram usage. tnx for th...

Re: slow finish to downloading mp3
the only security sw i'm running is microsoft security essentials and it should affect both in and out of sandbox the same. it seems that sbie takes a long time to offer recovery now. since i am downloading podcasts that i just listen to once and discard, i never want recovery. is there some way to ...

slow finish to downloading mp3
when i download an mp3 file it gets almost done and then sits there for minute or more before it finishes and i can open it. this started recently. this happens with both chrome and opera when i am running them in sbie. if i run them outside there is no delay.

Re: LastPass in sandboxie
i tried everything Barb suggested, but no help.
next i tried disabling some of my add-ons. that seemed to help, but wasn't consistent. so i disabled all the add-ons except lastpass. that fixed it. now i am adding them back 1 at a time to see which one breaks it. i had 10 add-ons enabled.

LastPass in sandboxie
when i run firefox in sandboxie, the LastPass icon does not appear in the Add-on bar and LastPass doesn't function. it used to up until recently. if i look at Tools|Add-ons, LastPass is listed there. it still appears normal in a copy of firefox running outside of sandboxie.

Re: start service 'bits' was denied
ok, but why is SandboxieDcomLaunch activated? i'm not installing any thing. i'm just reading email and web browsing and it pops up when i'm not typing or moving the mouse or anything. this just started recently.
i have never permitted admin privileges and everything still works. so why is it asking?

Re: start service 'bits' was denied
i don't want to disable Drop rights.
i want to know why bits service is trying to start and why SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe is requesting it.
in other words, what is going on here?

update won't finish
i recently tried to update sbie. it starts to install and then hangs with the cpu using ~50%. it seemed to be fighting with MSE, so i tried it after killing MSE. same thing, but now various other processes are using more than normal cpu. i tried the uninstall option in the install procedure, but now...

tzuk, thanks for the 4.05.06 fix, but this seems like a pretty obscure and interesting problem. would you care to describe what caused it?

thank you for the 4.05.06 fix, but it also seems to be fixed by using opera 15.0
opera 15 doesn't show if u 'check for updates', but it is available.
i think they have screwed up the UI, but it seems fast.
