Re: Sandboxie and Malware
I spent countless hours researching and testing the best security setup and approach for the (above average) home user from around 2007 to 2010, and came up with what I thought (and still think) to be an essentially bullet proof method. I've personally never had an unintentional "infection" even pri...

Re: Sandboxie and Malware
It sounds like you would be more comfortable running those programs in a full blown Virtual Machine (I use VirtualBox myself, and it's great). Sandboxie is what we would call "application virtualisation" - it's not meant to be used with the expectation of having a full blown Virtual Machine, and it ...

Re: Installing Browsers Directly Into SBIE [Updated 6/06]
Hi, it's been nearly 5 months since this Chrome issue was reported. Any progress on an internal fix? I'm fine using the workaround, but just curious as to if any of the devs have discovered something.

Hi, going with the same theme as above (quoted from version 5.14 thread), what do you guys think about updating it to 2004-2017?shadek wrote:Hi! Please see attached image. The year needs to be updated under "Help" --> "About Sandboxie". It should say Copyright 2004-2016, not 2004-2015.

Updating to the latest Beta version should fix the issue.

Re: Opera 42.0.2393.85 + Sanboxie 5.16 Final=crash not fixed
Installing outside and running sandboxed has generally never been a problem since Sandboxie's inception. However, directly installing within the sandbox is a different story.

Re: Chrome stopped working inside SB all sudden.
To be fair, there were several instances of Chrome not directly installing well within Sandboxie. About 3-4 years ago (perhaps longer), I remember trying it and it failed miserably. However, the last few years of "compatibility" has been excellent. But it's no surprise that it's now struggling again.

Nice spotting. Hopefully that is corrected soon. Not the first time this sort of thing has happened too.APMichael wrote:The correct hashes (and also the download link for combined 5.16) are in the row of version 5.14.

Thanks. That extra step makes it work well. And it makes good sense too.Barb@Invincea wrote:ssj100,

Re: Installing Browsers Directly Into SBIE [Updated 6/06]
For Chrome 55 installed inside a Sandbox, please try the following: (Same steps can be used for Opera, but you will also have to set the "Sart section" to the Sandboxed location you selected to install it). Sbie Ctrl --> View Files and folders, navigate to your Sandboxed Chrome installation Right c...

Will this be looked into before the next Sandboxie final release?
