Re: Downloaded Programs Not being Sandboxed v5.20
Tried unticking the compatibility setting for IDM, and it did not help. If I am reading the other postings correctly, IDM acts as an outsider to the sandboxed browser which defeats the purpose of total browser and related programs being sandboxed. That being said, to keep browser security tight, I d...

Re: Downloaded Programs Not being Sandboxed v5.20
I referenced the other postings and I am confused by the many workarounds such as disable or remove the IDM extensions, or edit the global settings, etc. So to save time, very simply in non-techno speak, I would appreciate it if you could tell me what settings do I need to adjust or make in Sandboxie...

Downloaded Programs Not being Sandboxed v5.20
Whenever I download a program using one of my sandboxed browsers using IDM, Sandboxie does not sandbox the program. Is it because Immediate Recovery is not deactivated? I remember in previous versions, that all downloaded programs were automatically sandboxed, and one had to choose what to do with i...

Re: Antivirus/Anti-malware|SBIE v5+[working/not][Updated 7/14/17]
Thanks for the reply.
Is this workaround going to appear in v5.21 when it is released, or will it be standard for those using BitDefender to manually make the adjustment as you described in the global settings?

Re: Antivirus/Anti-malware|SBIE v5+[working/not][Updated 7/14/17]
I took BitDefender Total Security 2018 for a test run in a Windows 10 x64 CU VM after seeing some posts here and also got the -4 errors. Longish story short I found that I could stop these errors and prevent the program (in this case firefox) from crashing by blocking the related "BitDefender Activ...

How to Isolate Microsoft Edge with Sandboxie
For some reason I can no longer use IE11 in my Windows 10 PC, so how can I isolate Edge with Sandboxie.
I have read elsewhere on the net that Chrome isn't necessary but one should isolate Firefox and Edge or IE because they have security flaws.
Suggestions for Edge isolation by Sandboxie? Thanks

Colored Border and Lingering Program Problem v5.10
I downloaded v5.10 64bit version for my Windows 10 PC, and no matter what browser I sandboxed to use, the colored border would not show around it. The indicator would appear but not the colored border even though I selected the option to display the border permanently. I uninstalled v5.10 and instal...

Using Google Chrome with or without Sandboxie
I have read that Google Chrome is a browser that operates as a sandbox.
Is this principal the same as Sandboxie or would I be better off using Chrome sandboxed by Sandboxie for better protection?

Tray Icon Choices for Sandboxie
Tzuk, my suggestion would be an option to choose what type of icon one would want in the system tray to indicate that Sandboxie is operational. For example, solid Green for Active or Red for Inactive. Or a blinking icon green or red. A little easier to see than the red dots in a yellow square. And o...

Slim Browser doesn't work with Sandboxie
I want to use Slim Browser, the IE 8 replacement with Sandboxie. When I use Sandboxie with Slim Browser, all the configuration changes I made in Slim Browser including use of Roboform, revert back to default settings including Roboform toolbar not appearing. How do I configure Sandboxie so that I ca...

Iron Browser v7 - Sandboxie ignores Home Page Settings
I started using the latest version of Iron Browser v7 with Sandboxie v3.50. I have set my home page to www.google.com/news. When I open the browser outside of Sandboxie, my chosen home page starts. When I open the browser within Sandboxie, SRwares chosen start page appears " http://iron-start.com/" ...

No Sandboxed Indicator displayed for Google Chrome 7
I am using the latest version of Sandboxie 3.50 and Google Chrome 7.
I sandbox Chrome but no sandbox indicator appears in the browser like Firefox or IE.
I do see confirmation in the tray icon of Sandboxie Control.
Is this normal behavior?
Thanks.
