smartsceen.exe is executed on the host for me, as a child of svchost.exe -k DcomLaunch. To add to my previous post. If you don't have a file that triggers the SmartScreen filter, go to MS Demo site http://demo.smartscreen.msft.net/ and scroll down to "App Rep Demos".
