Re: command line bug in start.exe?
Start.exe uses GetStdHandle and then writes output to the handle retrieved using WriteFile. When running in a batch/cmd prompt the handle retrieved with GetStdHandle will be the console's active screen buffer. When called directly via running start.exe the return is null: If an application does not ...

Re: Sandboxie VS Deep Freeze
+1 for lightweight solutions and common sense. I run Firefox in Sandboxie with NoScript, RequestPolicy and AdblockPlus addons. Keep everything up to date and keep things like flash click to enable. I was tempted to add AppGuard to the mix but honestly I've not had anything get through the NoScript/R...

Re: Unable to Delete Sandbox
Probably complete coincidence but I haven't had this issue again since I: A) Upgraded to 4.19.3 B) Started Outlook unsandboxed and allowed windows search service to index it (switched back to sandboxing once the index was complete). gseroul, you can attempt to manually delete the contents of your sa...

Re: Chrome, etc. and Sandboxie
1) Does Internet Explorer and Chrome run with the same Sandboxie version? Yes, theres only one version for all applications. 2) Can I set her default browser as IE and mine as Chrome, both linked to Sandboxie without causing problems? Yes, this is fine. 3) do I have to update them independently of ...

Re: SBIE2205 Service not implemented: CloseClipboard C00000
Yes, the beta also fixes a security vulnerability in sandboxie which could allow a malicious program to bypass the sandbox (you can see the patch notes in the link I posted). If you have any issues with the beta you can always install 4.18 again, but I'm currently running 4.19.3 without problems.

Re: Unable to Delete Sandbox
I experienced this today on v4.16. Process explorer failed to find any open handles but through manually deleting it was apparent the RegHive file was still in use. In regedit the sandboxed RegHive was loaded and I received an error message when attempting to manually unload it. One of the keys appe...

Re: Support
So, for a second, think about that users and not only about yourself. Maybe one day you want to use a software and it does not work under Sandboxie and then you do not receive any support to get it running. To be honest Buster I think your expectations of Invinceas support are unrealistic given the...

Re: Support
Personally I can completely understand where Curt is coming from in the PM and would like to thank Invincea for their continued development of sandboxie (long may it continue). I only hope that after this thread runs it's course we can finally put the "Ronens support was better" argument to rest and...

Re: Sandbox bypassed or..?
UAC was set to default - notify me only when programs try to make changes to my computer.
Without UAC prompt I was able to replicate your issue. The program counter no longer reset after sandbox deletion.

Tested with SBIE 4.16 default install in Win7x64, virtualboxed. Was unable to reproduce your issue, the timer resets for me.

Re: Outlook 2013/Windows Search
I see the same thing with Outlook 2010 on Win7. I also see a related entry in eventviewer: Source: Search Event ID: 3036 The content source <mapi://{S-1-5-RestOfUserSID-}/> cannot be accessed. Context: Application, SystemIndex Catalog Details: A server error occurred. Check that the server is availa...

Re: Sandboxie stops working without warning
Hi Joe, Do you have any messages in event viewer relating to the crashes? You can check by running "eventvwr", expand "Windows Logs" on the left hand side and highlight "Application". If you scroll down through the logs to the time that sandboxie closed you may see a red error relating to the closur...
