NOT a loophole. Links are opened with your default browser via DDE. So if a running instance exists, then just some information is exchanged to open the new page. A new process is not created. I found that if I simultaneously click both trackpad buttons, it acts like a centre click on a mouse so that any vertical movement on the trackpad scrolls the display. Doesn't seem to work for horizontal scrolling, but that's ok.

Found the posts now. Without it loaded, the trackpad works in basic mode, but can't use it to scroll. Ah well, nothing's perfect.
