I have never seen the need to sandbox Mailwasher, as the emails remain on the remote server and only plain text is seen locally. Your virus checker should catch anything being downloaded to the Mailwasher 'recycle bin', but aren't you trying to get those files stored outside the sandbox anyway, or d...

Sandboxie "vulnerability"

WebVideoCap from http://www.nirsoft.net/ captures web video content and saves the files for future use - very useful. However, even though I watch a video in with Firefox sandboxed, the file is saved in a non-sandboxed folder, and so 'breaks' the sandbox. Now I assume this is down to the way Windows...

Win7 & VM

Is there any reason why I should not run Win7 in a Sun VirtualBox under Sandboxie? I guess I would have to manually copy the 6gb vdi files into a sandbox I set up for the purpose, but will it work and should performance be ok?

SandboxIE or Linux?

When using unknown networks/hot-spots, would it be more secure to use Firefox3 running on Windows/Sandboxie or Linux? The Windows setup also has AV, but Linux would have no security other than as installed with the O/S, in this case Ubuntu. I've just installed Ubuntu (8.10), dual boot, to see what i...

Seems likely now, but it didn't occur to me as a limitation.

NOT a loophole. Links are opened with your default browser via DDE. So if a running instance exists, then just some information is exchanged to open the new page. A new process is not created. Does it matter which FF was opened first? Sandboxed or un-sandboxed? Don't know. Will test it when I have ...

Forced sandboxing, possible loophole

When both sandboxed and unsandboxed versions of Firefox are open at the same time, clicking on an unsandboxed saved link opens the page in the unsandboxed version of Firefox; even when 'disable forced programs' is unticked.

It seems likely to be a registry key issue, as when I deleted all the files in the sandbox apart from reghive, reloading IE7 didn't bring up the error. Delete the sandbox completely, and the problems recurs. I can send you a screen dump of the error if it will help, and you can tell me where to send...

I was under the impression that you had plenty of alternatives for the problem of printing to ExpertPDF from a non-IE tab in Firefox. So I the took some time to address other issues. But I should be able to look into this issue now. I just have a question, is this the ExpertPDF Pdf Creator from the...

Can you please also look to see how PDF Redirect is managing not being sandboxed?

I found that if I simultaneously click both trackpad buttons, it acts like a centre click on a mouse so that any vertical movement on the trackpad scrolls the display. Doesn't seem to work for horizontal scrolling, but that's ok.

Does your trackpad work without this driver?
Found the posts now. Without it loaded, the trackpad works in basic mode, but can't use it to scroll. Ah well, nothing's perfect.
