Re: How to make Direct Folders work inside sandbox?

@ Syrinx I need your help again, because I encountered something weird. If the Direct Folders template is active, then XnView refuses to run sandboxed. In other words, when I open an image from inside the sandbox, XnView can not be started. As soon as I remove the template, all is fine again. Do you...

Re: Sticky Password breaks sandbox?

Now this was a big surprise to me, and although quite helpful, is a bit worrying, but Sticky Password which is (force) loaded in a reduced-rights sandbox is functioning normally in a non-Sandboxed instance of Firefox; the converse is not true. I logged into this site using it, and tried another. Th...

Re: Problem with Opera 12 + Firefox 42

Hey Rasheed, if I was you, I would run Opera and Firefox in their own separate sandboxes and use Sandboxies latest version. Obviously something creates a conflict for you when you run both browsers in the same sandbox. To avoid this issue and for security, separate the browsers. You are into securi...

Re: Sandboxie vs Invincea Endpoint

SBIE is only designed to isolate/contain. Nothing has been found to break out of the sandbox (knock on wood) at this time, when known, not matter how impossible that may be or exist, we address that. Is anything 100% safe when online. Of course not. Nothing is. SBIE mitigate that risk? Absolutely. ...

Re: How to make Direct Folders work inside sandbox?

hmm I really thought I had it, it if it showed up in the compatibility section of SBIE with a [+] (eg enabled) after adding the template, it really should have had a noticeable difference the next time you launched a new app in the sandbox... You're the man, it now does work. I thought it didn't wo...

Re: Problem with Opera 12 + Firefox 42

However, currently I'm testing if the freezing goes away when FF is NOT started as a child process of Opera, perhaps the problems lies there. If not, then I will downgrade to v4, and when I switch to Vivaldi I will upgrade to v5 again. Bad news, that didn't do the trick either, and Opera 12 started...

Re: Remove dotted lines (Focus Rectangle)

Again, in a perfect world, everything little thing would be addressed Correct, we need to move more closely to a perfect world. Of course this isn't about usability, but about esthetics. I am what I call a GUI geek, the GUI has to be absolutely perfect. I do get your point, but if it's easy to fix,...

Re: Sandboxie.com Website Updates / Swag Ideas?

I do agree that the sandboxie.com site looks outdated, it should become a bit more flashy, but of course not bloated. Just look at the Zemana and SpyShelter pages for example. The one from Zemana is a bit bloated, the other site loads quicker, and looks more clean, but I don't like the animated pict...

Re: Sandboxie vs Invincea Endpoint

But is it true that IE uses a hypervisor for container isolation I've heard different things; but I don't directly work with that product or teams. So, I can't give you a YES or a NO answer. OK I see. I read about it in an article from 2010, but perhaps things have been changed. BTW, I also found a...

Re: How to make Direct Folders work inside sandbox?

In my testing I added it directly to the sandboxie.ini as this allows the template to be available in general ([just like my MBAE template]active for every sandbox with a generic entry like those available from the default template.ini)/eg global. I have now done it, and I do see it showing up in t...

Re: Problem with Opera 12 + Firefox 42

With that, I have been testing your sceanrio all morning in a VM...Both Opera/FF in the same and separate SB. Running them together is not advisable. However, I haven't noticed any issues. Other that the sb quickly filling up with crud. Thanks for testing, I appreciate it. I was hoping that you wou...

Re: Sandboxie vs Invincea Endpoint

Hi Rasheed I don't know are the actual particulars about getting a demo type of look at it. However, I'm under the impression it's much more of an "experience" type of thing. And there is a lot of behind the scenes stuff that happens. Actually, it was another member (Syrinx) that wanted to test Inv...

Thanks for checking, will try again. The good news is that gaming platforms like Steam and Origin seem to be working correctly.

And sorry to keep you from your work. :P

Re: Remove dotted lines (Focus Rectangle)

Again, this is a low low low low priority, If it's even addressed at all. This is more of a personal preference issue (yes, it may be directly tied to Windows) However, either way, it does not impact the performance of SBIE. Yes I understand, but I'm sure it's easy to fix, so why not. It's indeed a...

Re: How to make Direct Folders work inside sandbox?

Think I got it, finally. It wasn't sandboxie blocking anything after all, the program just needed the original window names! Give this a shot. Call me stupid, but I need more help. Where should I add this template? I have tried to modify the SBIE config files, but it didn't work. I'm almost certain...
