I have found that my Thunderbird mail files were not being saved outside the sandbox, and when I deleted the sandbox,I lost some recent email. I have since made sure Sandboxie saves my email to the TB profile folder. Is there some way of recovering emails that were in a deleted sandbox?
Thanks

Edited message follows: I had a big long message here that I have deleted. It was probably too much, all at once. Do this: In Thunderbird, click on Tools > Account Settings Look down the left pane, find and click on "Local Folders". On the right side, underneath "Local Directory", you should be abl...

I don't see the lines : OpenFilePath=thunderbird.exe,%AppData%\Thunderbird OpenFilePath=thunde~1.exe,%AppData%\Thunderbird The above lines are actually from the file 'C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\templates.ini', and you probably have them there. Template=Thunderbird OK, the above line is in your sand...

I guess that the next step is to look at the configuration for the sandbox that you use with TB. If it is DefaultBox, list whatever is under the [DefaultBox] heading in Configuration > Edit Configuration There should be a line: Template=Thunderbird List whatever else is under the sandbox heading, t...

Thunderbird doesn't save drafts outside the sandbox
As long as you haven't moved Thunderbird's mail folders from the default location, it should work: With the default TB folder location, and Sandbox Settings > Applications > Email Reader > has a "+" sign next to Thunderbird, it should work. Obviously, your emails are not being saved out of the sand...

Thunderbird doesn't save drafts outside the sandbox
I have run into problems recently where Thunderbird, which I always run sandboxed, does not save recent emails.Today,I ran Thunderbird sandboxed, composed a test message to myself (without sending it),and then closed the program (saving my message as a draft). When I open TB unsandboxed, the draft is no...

If you re-installed Thunderbird, then you might have a new profile folder as well, at C:\Documents and Settings\(user)\Application Data\Thunderbird\Profiles\... You might want to check if there are 2 profile folders there, and what the names are. If so, then maybe one is the old profile, and the ot...

Recovering recent TB mail
I had to reinstall Thunderbird after a crash, and used a tool called Import/Export to import my mail folders from my profile back into the new TB.The only problem is my recent emails are missing from my mail folders.I always run TB in Sandboxie. Is there any way to get those recent emails back,or are...

Conficker vs. Sandboxie
I assume I am safe from contracting drive-by malware if I always surf with Sandboxie? How about that new worm,Conficker? I am not very computer literate.
Anybody have any thoughts on this matter?
Thanks!

"Expert's" view of Sandboxie..
I often go to a website called Allexperts.com for solutions to a wide variety of problems, including computer matters. As it is run by volunteers, the advise is of variable quality. I asked one of the computer experts for his opinion of Sandboxie, and got the following response: Yes I am familiar with t...

Sandboxie earned it's keep tonite..
I got a link from a emailed newsletter, and when I clicked on it,it took over my browser.Even closing the browser didn't help,as a new browser would then launch, going to the same damn page.I finally escaped by using the Sandboxie terminate all programs option.Well done,Sandboxie!

Re: Delete doesn't always work
I rebooted my computer, and I can now delete the sandbox contents reliably-thanks,Tzuk! I will go back to using Shut Down instead of Hibernate .A website said using Hibernate was easier on the hard drive, which is why I have been using it. One thing: Is there a Sandboxie setting whereby I can delete t...

Delete doesn't always work
Thanks,Tzuk.I keep my computer on all the time, using "hibernate" when I go to bed,so unless I deliberately shut Sandboxie down,it is always running.I have checked that all sandboxed processes have been closed, but this is still a problem. You say this is a common problem. Is it normal for Sandboxie t...

Delete contents doesn't always work
I find that I often get an error message when I try deleting the Sandboxie contents manually: http://img167.imageshack.us/img167/3461 ... 200sz1.jpg
Other times,it works fine, but also kills the sandboxed programs that are running. What am I doing wrong? I have FF version 2.0.0.14.
Thanks

Saving bookmarks in Firefox
Hi: I have found that if I want to bookmark a page I'm in,I have to access the page outside Sandboxie and bookmark it,and even when I do that, sometimes it takes several attempts to save outside Sandboxie before I find the bookmark in a sandboxed FF session. Is there a simpler way to do this? Thanks! ...
