Sandboxie Support

The topic gives more info, but it relates to Immediate Recovery not working when you save a file to a location where that file already exists (ie. replacing the file).

I do use Noscript but the settings are the same between sandboxed and non-sandboxed browsers. I've also tried it with a fresh Firefox profile, with the same results. Re. plugin-container.exe, it's not that as I forgot to mention that I disabled the use of it using the system environment variable MOZ...

Do you have Settings > Options > General > Downloads set to "Save files to XYZ" or "Always ask" ?

If it's the former, change it to the later so you get the Save As dialog then try again. You should find that on second attempt you won't get the Instant Recovery dialog.

Are you sure Firefox is not auto-renaming the second file because it already exists, as that would explain the behaviour you're seeing ?

I'm currently on Win 8.1 x64, but I got the same behaviour on Win 7 x64.

I have Instant Recovery enabled, and if the file doesn't exist I get the Instant Recovery window after downloading a file. However, if the file already exists (ie. so the downloaded file will replace/overwrite an existing file) the Instant Recovery window is not displayed. I believe this was expcted...

After upgrading from 4.12 to 4.13 beta 1, the About dialog says that I'm registered but need to re-activate. Why does upgrading require re-activation, or is this a bug ?

After upgrading to 4.12 I noticed the common controls on the Run Sandboxed dialog are no longer themed (ie. the listbox, checkbox and two buttons)

What was the BSOD you got as after upgrading to 4.12 (along with some MS updates + other software), I've had two BSOD (PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAGED_AREA 0X00000050, and a REGISTRY one which I can't remember the code for) ?

The crash dump option was disabled though, so no dump.

I've always found it a strange design decision that Immediate Recovery only works when the file doesn't already exist. Please can you consider also making it work when the file already exists, or at least make it optional.

Given that minimum supported OS for Sandboxie is XP SP3, why have you decided against using Visual Studio 2013 ?

Not sure if it's related, but with quite a lot of Firefox tabs open (with pages loaded in them), I find that, after a while, opening links in new tabs results in a page could not load error. @btm - am interested as to your procedure for testing malware and determinning what it's doing/has done (ie. files/folders created, what it runs etc.) ?

I know changelog for 4.09.04 beta doesn't mention any fix related to this issue, but I tested it out anyway 4.09.04 beta still has this DDE issue.
