Re: Running a program inside SB
Hi I was trying to run a program inside SB but it requested Administrator privileges in Windows 7. Version of SB is 3.76. If I allow Administrator privileges, will the new program write to registry and hard disk in its own folders? Or will it write in SB folders so if I delete the contents, the who...

Re: Panda Cloud 2.2
Thanks for this info. I use Panda Cloud AV (free) on my laptop with SBIE version 3.76 (versions 4 break some of my apps...although I'll test out the newest one when it's officially released). I never did use PCAV's URL filter. Ended up deleting that feature. But with the imminent PCAV major upgrade ...

Tiranium Antivirus and Sandboxie
Saw this mentioned over at Wilders. Scroll 1/2 way down the page and you'll see the download installs what appears to be Sandboxie (at least that looks like SBIE's icon). The English translation is a little rough around the edges. A search of this forum and Invincea's doesn't show anything with "tir...

Re:
I would show the difference between Closed File Path and Write-Only. I agree. I like to test lots of software in their own sandboxes. Initially, I relied solely on ClosedFilePath as the way to protect the content in My Documents. But occasionally I discovered that some of the software I was testing...

Re:
On a Vista 32 bit system, fully updated, there was no message at all, FF 27 just didn't run sandboxed, not even once, no error message there. Personally, I'm running a Win 7 64 bit system with SP1 and mostly the latest version of FF did start. But never directly after a system reboot. Nothing happe...

Welcome ! If you're looking for features to add after Windows 8.1 support is tightened up, historically Sandboxie has had 2 types of users (and uses). It protects the system from the mess caused by malware or simply installing and uninstalling loads of programs, but it also effectively transforms a...

Dear Buster, get a life and stop polluting this topic with yet another tirade. In addition to myself, I suspect there are possibly numerous other longtime participants in this forum who have mixed feelings about what happened with Buster. For years he was a very strong contributor to the success of...

Nope, your comments are worth less then a penny Have some education and learn to respect other peoples opinion even if you do not agree with them. I'd be lying if I didn't say that my experience with version 4.0 (and up) has been less than satisfactory on my computers, which is why I remain on prev...

As a fairly long-time registered user of Sandboxie (going on 6 years), I've grown to trust it to keep my computers clean and malware-free. I probably speak for all of us when I say that seeing the yellow icon fill with red dots in the notification tray has been part of my (our) everyday computing. C...

I use to block access to My Documents. But anymore my preference is to use Write-Only Access. For my purposes, it accomplishes the same thing in terms of keeping spying eyes away from personal information, but doesn't interfere with my testing of sandboxed software like Block Access occasionally did.
