Re: Unable to install programs in Sandbox
This happens on most but not all programs (exe, msi) I try to install directly into a sandbox. The odd program that uses old fashioned installers seem to work. It's been going on for some time and is a nuisance as I cannot test programs anymore before normal installation. I've come across this erro...

Re: Multiple sandboxes
I have 40+ sandboxes. The reason I run so many is because with my default "internet surfing" I use a browser with cookies, java and all scripting disabled and run plugins to stop tacking. So if I have a website that needs security settings to be loosen, then I create a sandbox specifically for that ...

Re: Install W10 using Sandboxie?
If you want to check out Win10 without committing to it, you can install it in a virtual machine using VirtualBox. Here's a tutorial: https://www.extremetech.com/computing/198427-how-to-install-windows-10-in-a-virtual-machine Or you can create a backup image of windows 7 with Aomei backupper (Freewa...

Re: Chrome starts before SB services
The same problem started happening with Firefox, too (firefox starting before sandboxie). After additional troubleshooting I figured out what was happening and would like to share what I did. It actually doesn't have anything to do with Chrome or Firefox. Apparently, Comodo HIPS can cause Sandboxie ...

Re: Chrome starts before SB services
I ran Firefox & IE sandboxed - Sandboxie started right away. There wasn't any delay with the 3 exe files starting up. At this point I knew it had something to do with Chrome directly. I found out the problem but I don't know how to fix it. I couldn't get chrome to work inside a sandbox when I first ...

Chrome doesn't hang at all, it starts immediately. It's used for one website and there are no plugins installed

Re: Chrome starts before SB services
Hi Barb, Sandboxie is setup to start with windows automatically and the control panel starts automatically, too. Chrome - v61.0.3163.100 & Comodo Internet Suite v10.0.2.6420 (anti-virus). Chrome and Sandboxie are set as trusted applications. Nothing prevents them from running whatever they need to. ...

Chrome starts before SB services [SOLVED]
I installed Sandboxie on a friend's computer who has Win10. Then installed Chrome inside a sandbox (chrome is not installed outside of sandboxie). Every time Chrome is started it takes 4-5 seconds before SandboxieRpcSs.exe, SandboxieDcomLaunch.exe and SandboxieCrypto.exe initializes and there is no ...

Re: Skype and CredReadA
Thanks for your reply, Barb. Unfortunately, I don't see a solution with the information you offered. I thought perhaps one could create a path but this is a service so it's not going to work (at least I don't see a way). It's likely the reason that tzuk originally created Sandboxie's own protected s...

Re: %1 is not a valid Win32 application
I'm not really sure why you can't pull up Photo viewer in a sandbox because Sandboxie doesn't care about what programs are associated. Sorry, I can't help you with that.

Re: %1 is not a valid Win32 application
It appears you don't have a default image viewer associated with the jpg files. If you would like to use the traditional Windows Photo viewer, take a look here: https://www.howtogeek.com/225844/how-to-make-windows-photo-viewer-your-default-image-viewer-on-windows-10/ If you prefer to use a different...

Skype and CredReadA [SOLVED]
Yesterday, I was finally forced to update my skype to the newest version. It appears it now relies on protected storage to store the password information where the prior versions didn't. Now when I start Skype I get - SBIE2205 Service not implemented . I know there is a setting in sandboxie.ini to g...

Re: Restrict program from reading my files
As you learned, programs can see outside of a sandbox. A work around to what you want is to have FF always in a sandbox and not installed outside of Sandboxie. I currently have 30+ sandboxes with FF and none of them see the settings of another, even when running at the same time. If you need FF outs...

Product activation failed
I had to rebuild my HD and when I tried activating sandboxie it said:
Product Activation Failed
The License Server did not specify reason for failure of activation.
I never had this issue before, how do I fix it?
