Sandbox function
Would somebody please explain the basic difference between Sandboxie and other programs with sandboxes like browsers and AV's.
I have looked on the web but became totally confused. I am sure that somebody here can explain it simply without going into complex technical details.
Thank you.

I used Remove it Permanently - RIP, a Firefox add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/remove-it-permanently/ It took 4 goes each message to completely remove the messages from my Forum messag...

Re: Infected Private Messages
yabbadoo, Does the message contain a link that you can share? Or anything we can use to test? Without information, logs/data/anything, there isn't much we can do to help. Regards, Barb.- The only link is my account message list URL, there is no link which pulls the message separately out of my acco...

I am too scared to try that message again.Barb@Invincea wrote:yabbadoo,
Does the problem happen again when you open that same private message?
Programs running inside SBIE should not affect your host computer (unless you allow them to access certain things via templates).

I always use SBxie to open my browser, so lall my work is under SBxie protection. We all know about email threats. I can open my OE6 with SBxie if need be. Re: Sandboxie/Firefox will not work
Hi everyone I just wanted to say that I had the exact same problem, using Windows 7 32 Bit. Mine was that the error message just popped up this morning after successfully using Sandboxie forever with Firefox. So I upgraded it, same problem. Then I tried what deugniet suggested here in this post and...

Re: Sandboxie/Firefox will not work
STOP PRESS ! I am completely discomknockerated in amazement. As soon as I had made my last post, I shut down Firefox and went on Standby. When I resumed, I went through the link that deugniet gave and renamed defaultbox - this time it let me do it - I renamed defaultbox to defaultbox.bak as the guy...

Re: Sandboxie/Firefox will not work
Sbxie/Firefox had been working perfectly until I updated Firefox from 50.0.1 to 50.0.2. The error was then immediate. My gut feel is that the solution is as simple as the problem arose, but having tried everything I know without success, I am relying on my more knowledgeable Sbxie friends to crack it.

Re: Emptying the sandbox
Thanks for the comments. All is now clearly understood. Because my Opera has for some reason developed 4 flat tyres, I am now using Firefox as my default browser, still with Sandboxie of course. The FF speed of response is very good. I was waiting minutes with Opera for things to load up, could feel...
