As long as you have UAC turned on, which is the default setting in Windows, you are losing very minimal security.

I don't think that version 3.76 would magically fix everything. The crashes happen because Windows 8.1 brings many little changes all over the place, only some of which have been addressed. On the bright side, I think web browsing under Sandboxie works well on Windows 8.1.

Yes, you can uninstall and reinstall as a way around it. During uninstallation, make sure to "select NO to delete the Sandboxie.ini file" so that you discard your locked configuration.

OK, but keep in mind that this gives up some measure of security, if you also have UAC turn off.

Better captchas are more immune to spam bots but are also more immune to human beings.

Please try the Window Access * workaround to see if it fixes the problem.

To enable:

Sandbox Settings > Resource Access > Window Access > Click Add, enter * (a single wildcard star), click OK.

No, I'm sorry, I don't do that. You can try to reinstall your Windows computer, make sure you install only Windows, Sandboxie and Steam. Again, this is if you are sure you are not on Windows 8.1. Steam under Sandboxie does not work on Windows 8.1 at this time.

As far as I know, there are issues with Steam on Windows 8.1, not Windows 8. If you have Windows 8.1, there is no solution. If you have Windows 8, it should work.
