Using SandBoxIE over 5 years allready and its great

Hi, Im using SandBoxIE since over 5 years allready, it is an awesome pice of software. I love it. Whenever I need to install some program temorary, I install it to the sandbox and remove it after there is no need for it anymore. Nothing is kept on the real harddrive, no spam, nothing. But when sandboxie gets this firewall feature, it will be like a total security software. That applications are able to access the internet without you notice, that is the biggest securityhole in my opinion. Im sure everyone has a firewall. But imagine sandboxie will do the same - without beeing 20M...

What I'm scared about is this: http://www.sandboxie.com/img/NewGui/InternetAccessSettings.png After the installation of sandboxie "All programs can access the internet". Now you have to think about it, that many people don't know the option Sandboxie Control > Sandbox Settings > Restrictions > Inter...

I know this.
But if you install something that includes trojan without you know it, the trojan can connect to the internet.
Thats the danger, that asking if the application is allowed to access the internet would prevent

Something like a firewall...

Hey. What do you think: Sandboxie is great. But... When you got, for example an icq trojan, sandboxie is kinda useless. It prevents the damage that the trojan would have done to important system datas. But he read the icq account file and sent it to someone that steals your account now. So I thought...

Ah! You installed everything (Steam and the games) in the sandbox. I talked about installing everything normal, and then just starting steam sandboxed. That works. Is it important for you to have everything installed in the sandbox? Try it, to just click right on the steam.exe on your normal compute...

Hi, For me, Zen of Sudoku works fine. And I think I know why - Zen of Sudoku (as every Steam game too) needs (and changes) the big *.cfg files, located in "...\Steam\steamapps". So the changed *.cfg files are copied into the sandbox, before the game starts. But - the maximum size of files, that are ...

Jeah, i agree.
But wouldn't it be great to fix this "bug" with systemtime and other safe API's?
I mean - it's not dangerous... But - its "damage of the Computer" - and sandboxie is able to save the Systemclock and so on...

At this time Sandboxie does not support what I think you want. But you can sort of work around that limitation by using the sandboxed Windows Explorer. You're right, tzuk. Sandboxed Windows Explorer - thats what I do - but would it be complicated to add a new option in the "Sandbox Settings" like "...
