Re: Not able to open Firefox without using SBIE
Hello sanbox man, I can repro the issue (it also happens the other way around as well). It seems to be related to the profile, if I uncheck the Sandbox setting "Allow direct access to entire Firefox profile folder", it launches fine. Looking into it. Regards. This may have occurred because I update...

How to delete one browser while keep the other active
I have 2 different browsers (2 different brands) both under SBIE; I close down one browser, and then some time later when I decide I need the same browser again, SBIE says it's actually running (in the sandbox but not on my screen because earlier I had closed it. What I usually do is shut the remain...

Not able to open Firefox without using SBIE
Firefox (without using SBIE) is not opening up unless I shut down SBIE first. Wasn't doing that before. The error message is: Firefox is already running, but is not responding. The old firefox process must be closed to open a new window. I never had a problem running one with SBIE and one without si...

Re: Bookmarks not being saved in firefox
Sometimes when I start Firefox sandboxed while already having it run unsandboxed, all the bookmarks that I added in the sandboxed version disappear. Firefox doesn't tell you this, but it happens because it somehow deems the database corrupt, and copies over the unsandboxed one. I don't know why thi...

Re: Bookmarks not being saved in firefox
sanbox man, your solution is to delete the sandbox or create a new one and test. A few days ago, I recommended you try that and you replied nothing. If that doesn't work, then uninstall Sandboxie and don't save settings. Your problem is related to settings, nothing else. And then reinstall SBIE. Bo...

Re: Bookmarks not being saved in firefox [SOLVED]
Hello sandbox man, Is this problem happening every time you bookmark a site? No. In one session it seemed to work again but right now its not. If you want to try the steps provided by luthor112, you will have to find the Sandbox folder in your drive (typically C: drive). This is not under Program F...

Re: Bookmarks not being saved in firefox
The fix for this situation is to close the sandboxed Firefox, go to its files and rename places.sqlite.corrupt to places.sqlite (overwriting that one). The files are at <Sandbox directory>\<Username>\<Sandbox name>\user\current\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile name> The profile nam...

Re: Alternative sandbox program for Tor - suggestions.
May not be an acceptable alternative, but you could just use Sandboxie and a VM and the VM could be your sandbox. Since it takes seconds to recover from a golden set point, it's at least a viable solution to address TOR compatibility issues. :) I considered that, I will look into that further. Than...

Re: no sbie appeared with new guest users win 8.1
I checked there, before I posted; it's not there.Barb@Invincea wrote:Hello sanbox man,
I just installed Sandboxie 5.14 on a WIn 8.1 x 64 PC (admin account), then I turned on the Guest account and I was able to find Sandboxie under C:\Program Files\Sandboxie
Can you find it there?
Regards.

Re: How to download and view it within SBIE?
This is what I was after. Which explorer do you use before then? None. The folder containing newly introduced files (eg. downloaded files) is in principle never opened with a REAL explorer window. Q1: The 'folder' you are referring to is sitting within a SBIE environment or outside SBIE environment...

Re: How to download and view it within SBIE?
This next instance doesn't seem to be what you want so you can likely ignore this: Another would be to ensure the target 'download' folder is a forced folder within SBIE [PAID] then launch it from there once it's downloaded. I would like to try this though, what are the steps involved in that? I do...
