Yes, or you could do as D1G1T@L suggested and use a sandboxed program/browser to do the attachment: Even if you do attach something from within the same sandbox, it will be the modified version that you just edited rather than the older one that exists outside it. Sorry I did not get this. Can you ...

There is a reason that Immediate Recovery is only offered only when Word shuts down, as opposed to other programs where modified files are offered immediately for recovery. The reason has to do with how Word works, and how it locks files it uses, so it's not something that I can change. Sorry! I se...

Feature request

Hello Tzuk, I cannot post this in Feature Request section coz it says only Administrators can post there. So here's the scenario: Suppose am downloading a 2.5 GB file on an average internet connection. So I'll use a program like "DownThemAll" plugin which will resume the download today after I pause...

(something like pressing Ctrl + A) and put them in the ignored list alongwith vlc player, winzip,

Automatically executing "unknown executable code"

Hello Tzuk, I couldn't post this in feature requests coz it said only administrators can post here. So here's the feature request. Say for eg. .doc, .xls, .pdf are the only 3 forced programs which automatically open Sandboxed. Remaining programs open unsandboxed for eg. mspaint, winzip, vlc player. ...

Security question about Sandboxie

Hi everyone, I've setup my Sandboxie to only run Firefox.exe in Internet access and Start/Run access. Now suppose if I receive an email attachment should I allow the doc, xls, pdf, jpg programs to be added in start/run access so that the attachment can be opened directly rather than saving the files...

Sandboxie security question

Hello everyone, Assuming a normal computer use of word, excel, pdf, audio/video, internet do you think its safe to save the email attachment in a folder and then open it from there or clicking the "open with" option when asked to download for easier convenience? In case of the former method, there'l...

That's normal (protective) behaviour by Sandboxie. You wouldn't want malware to delete contents in your real Downloads folder right? Anyway, if you do want to delete with the sandboxed folder open, you can use the "cut" command and paste the file(s) in your recycle bin. Thanks ssj, your replies are...

If you use Sandboxie well, blocking those become less important (probably not important at all). Yes ssj am trying to customise SB so that it gives me maximum protection with minimum inconvenience. However, I noticed that if I delete any files from the Sandboxed Downloads folder it does NOT get del...

Are you using "Drop Rights"? Thats it. That was the problem. I unchecked it and the prob got solved. Thx ssj100, one more question to you as per your security setup you've advised to deny path to the following: cscript.exe,scrobj.dll, vbscript.dll, wscript.exe, debug.exe. Till now I've not faced an...
