problem is is that after i select a program to start the menu goes away so this is no different if i am starting a program from Sandboxie directly (i.e. from the system tray).

FWIW, the delay is exactly 5 minutes. ran a test twice and timed it. after the 5 minutes the UI appears.

I would try disabling your antivirus to see if the horrendous 5 minutes comes down to a couple of seconds.
