Sandboxie 3.50 32 bit, Windows XP Pro SP3 fully patched, Firefox 3.6.13 (default browser) Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI), 1.5.0.2 download link http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/ I use a number of different sandboxes for various purposes. Since SB was modified so it opens...

Firefox Safe Mode
Appreciate the quick reply. Yes, I told him to run in safe mode, disabling only all add-ons, then see if normal mode works. But for now I am mostly interested in finding out if this is a unique problem. I suspect he may have installed a bad add-on outside the sandbox, but has not deleted the sandbox...

Unique problem? FF runs in, but not out of Sandboxie
Has anyone seen this problem before. A friend is experiencing this, but before i ask him for more details, I though I would check here first. Briefly he says that when he tries to open FF unsandboxed, nothing happens. But he can run FF in a sandbox OK. I searched the forums but did not see anything ...

TLS/SSL Flaw
tzuk, Many thanks. I thought it might take place something like this, but wasn't able to think it out. From a little bit of research to date, I have found no indication that it is presently being exploited, and until someone finds a way to exploit it, it is a non-issue. There are indications, though...

zero-day flaw in the TLS and SSL protoco
http://news.zdnet.co.uk/security/0,1000000189,39860592,00.htm Although this is a Zero Day vulnerability, I can't find any indication it is being exploited...yet. Does anyone know if Sandboxie will give users any protection on this one? There;s a lot of tech info on this at http://www.tombom.co.uk/bl...

Thanks for the confirmation
Hi tzuk, Appreciate the confirmation of what I suspected. I'm still recommending that all my list members use Sandboxie. Related subj: Tried the latest Chrome in the sandbox - would not install. I didn't bother noting the error, because i was just testing. The I installed SR Iron in the sandbox with...

User 2. Agree, but do not understand the term preparsed ops. The articles are not clear on protection. Seems to me that a user will still have to be tricked into downloading a file containing the exploit, recover the file to the hard drive and execute the file so the exploit installs in SMM. If the ...

Browser running sandboxed but no pound # sign
I just installed 3.30 the other day and did not notice it at the time, but when I open my (forced) browser, even though the pound sign shows in the task bar, it does not show in the browser title bar. A quick test shows that the browser is running sandboxed. My browser is AM Browser 3.0.0 RC1 (www.a...
