Shortcut to Sandboxed Program?

How do I create a shortcut to a sandboxed program (preferably in a specified sandbox other than DefaultBox)? I already have a shortcut to a sandboxed version of my default Web browser on my desktop (thanks to your automatic feature). I have created a separate sandbox for a different Web browser (whi...

Please Fix Incompatitility with Office 2013 "Click-to-Run"

One of the main advantages of Sandboxie Plus **was** the ability to isolate Outlook e-mail software in a separate sandbox from a Web browser or other software similarly vulnerable to Internet hacks. Currently, Sandboxie does not work with Office 2013 "click-to-run" (a.k.a. App-V) installations (Refe...

Re: Problem: Outlook Fails to Start in New Sandbox!

...And it is much more complicated than just renaming the user. There are lots of user permissions issues. The comments about Hyper-V are referring to the App-V server -- not the client. Click-to-run has to be allowed to download data, or Office will not work. OK, thanks again. I'm still puzzled ab...

Re: Problem: Outlook Fails to Start in New Sandbox!

Click-to-run has a service that doesn't like running as anonymous login. Does the following (from the same source mentioned above) sound plausible as a work-around? "For what it's worth, App-V must also be disabled in order to be able to create/use VMware virtual machines so wonder if the answer to...

Re: Problem: Outlook Fails to Start in New Sandbox!

...1) it may no longer be possible to obtain the "classic" Office 2013 suite-- see the post from MariusGold at the end of thread, http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16830&hilit=Outlook+2013... I've started exploring this click-to-run issue on Microsoft forums. Not getting a lot...

Not really your problem, but is there any chance of just stopping this service? If you can you tell me what its name is, I'll experiment... -- jclarkw

Re: Problem: Outlook Fails to Start in New Sandbox!

Currently, Sbie does not work with Office click-to-run (a.k.a. App-V). It works fine with Office 2013 "classic" that installs everything on the user's machine. Freespace does work with App-V. Curt -- Thanks for the clear answer. Is your other Outlook thread in reference to regular Office 2013 or Ap...

It appears this is no longer a "Quick Question," but please post any answers there anyhow: http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=19219&p=102227#p102227 Further research indicates I am not be alone on this -- see http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=16830&hilit=Ou...

Problem: Outlook Fails to Start in New Sandbox!

If so, is there a straightforward way to set up another desktop icon that opens MS Outlook in the new sandbox? When you shut down Outlook, does that automatically close that new sandbox, is that a separate step, or should one just leave the second sandbox open indefinitely? OK, I tried to follow th...

Re: Errors Opening Instance of Acrobat from Sandboxed Firefo

Curt@invincea wrote:This is most likely Adobe checking for updates. If Acrobat is installed outside the sandbox, then it is really a waste of time to allow it since the updates will take place in the sandbox and disappear when you delete the sandbox.

Outlook and FireFox in Separate Sandboxes?

A new user of the full (paid) version could use a little focused tutorial: For greatest security should one run e-mail software in a separate sandbox from a browser? (I'm running under Windows 7 SP1, Outlook 2013, and Firefox 30.0. I am already using the "Run browser sandboxed" feature for FireFox i...

Re: Old Saw: New Business Model -- Complaint to Invincia

@Peter123 Wow... theirs still a "Lifetime license" offer, glad I've bought it when it' still a bit cheeper! No need, once you update/downgrade versions this will automatically activate and revert back to 180 days. Great! Thanks to both you and Peter 123 for all the help. The fact that they raised t...

Re: Old Saw: New Business Model -- Complaint to Invincia

Fact: I know Pete used that link to get his license. :) Another fact: The link might stop working at anytime. If you really really want a lifetime license, I suggest you get it now before the offer is taken down. Bo OK, I bit the bullet. There are a few differences from what was described in your r...

No need for a complaint. Read carefully the following thread, and take a look at the link which is mentioned for example in the last posting. :D http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=18878 Peter 123 -- Thanks for your reply. Old Saw: New Business Model -- Complaint to Invincia

I love Sandboxie. I was just about to upgrade to the paid version on three machines when Invincia took over and changed the licensing scheme. If I understand correctly, it is no longer possible to purchase a license to even a single main version (e.g., vs. 4.x) of the full-featured program that does...
