Running Windows Settings app sandboxed?

I run install and run Chrome in a sandbox. I need to set a default program within that sandbox, but the Settings up refuses to run sandboxed. I'm getting the following error message: --------------------------- Sandboxie Start --------------------------- Could not invoke program: G:\Desktop\Settings...

Re: UAC pop-up flashing by

Posted there, thanks. IMO it would be better to suppress the pop-up, it was very confusing for a while! :D

Re: Latest Sandboxie and IE10 on Win8x64

Ditto on Windows 10. Since this is a purely informational pop-up, with no accept/decline buttons, and considering how quickly it flashes by, I wonder if it might make sense to add an option to the settings INI file to suppress it completely. While the pop-up is obviously harmless, for the past two w...

UAC pop-up flashing by [SOLVED]

It flashes by very quickly, I'm just wondering if that's intentional, otherwise it seem...

Re: Taskbar button not showing Sandboxie icon

I've just re-installed Sandboxie as you suggested and that seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you! I honestly have no idea what could have caused this. It makes me think that rebooting the computer may have fixed the problem. My configuration is as follows (although it probably doesn't matter now!...

Taskbar button not showing Sandboxie icon [SOLVED]

On my Windows 10 Professional 64-bit system the Sandboxie Control window gets a generic white icon on the Windows task bar, instead of the usual yellow sandbox icon. I've only upgraded to W10 recently but I recall quite clearly that this didn't happen when I was using W7. It's not really a big probl...

Re: Installing Browsers Directly Into SBIE [Updated 6/06]

Thanks for the workaround! With this workaround, a notification at the top of Chrome pops up each time Chrome fires up: You are using an unsupported command-line flag: --no-sandbox. Stability and security will suffer. Funny how it says "unsupported" and yet the flag is obviously doing its job.

Re: Sandboxie Crashes on WhatsApp Desktop Launch[SOLVED]

By the way there is a way to run WhatsApp in sandboxie, install it in VirtualBox then copy the installed files over to your sandbox folder and run WhatsApp.exe. The app itself works, what doesn't seem to work is the installer

Re: Sandboxie Crashes on WhatsApp Desktop Launch[SOLVED]

Sandboxie may not be designed to work as a VM but I'm sure many of use use it that way becasue, in many cases, it works very well. I install and run many applications in Sandboxie because when I fresh install my OS I don't need to re-install and configure every app one by one again, typically a very...

Re: SBIE_Temp privacy concerns

Hi again, it's been a while since my last post, just wondering if Curt had a chance to look into this issue? I just tested this on a Win 7 machine and it doesn't happen, but using the same sandboxie.ini on both systems, the problem still happens on Windows 10. If possible could you have a quick go a...
