If you want a folder to appear empty, just use WriteFilePath. And you can copy whatever you want into a sandboxed folder. It all disappears when you delete the sandbox. Thanks for the tip. I guess the folder idea wasn't a great example since it's already doable. Which leaves us with my fake network...

Seems to me like it would be useful for a great range of programs, and it could be extended beyond just network access. For instance instead of just blocking access to My Documents, Sandboxie could return an empty folder, or better redirect the access to a folder with honeypot files so we could obs...

The apps ' expect ' access to the AFD/NSI devices. Sandboxie blocks access to the internet by denying access to those devices.
