Re: sandboxie 4.20

It is not about any particular AV. It's about how much better any AV stacks up against Windows Defender. So there is an AV out there that so dramatically outperforms WD? That AV has some secret method of discovering new signatures that Microsoft can not find? That's rediculous. Well, this isn't the...

Re: sandboxie 4.20

My formula is simple, that is, sandbox all files in my computers from the day they get created to the day they are deleted. It works, John. :) You put all of your files into one sandbox? So, for example, if you get hit with cryptolocker within the sandbox, it will cheerfully encrypt all of your fil...

Re: sandboxie 4.20

Hi Bo, I respectfully disagree as a security professional. I've been using Sandboxie with Kaspersky for over 3 years with no problem. I've also been a Kaspersky customer much longer...I can still use it now, just not with IE or Chrome. As I said, when the day comes that it is useless, I will drop Sa...

Re: sandboxie 4.20

Seriously how many of these are using free sbie and a free AV? And still the demands (and the attitudes) continue. I've been a paid user since 2012 and Kaspersky is not free... some of us make thoughtful decisions on the security products they use and support them. I would also add that probably mo...

Re: sandboxie 4.20

FWIW, I just tried Opera with Sandboxie 5.01.12, KIS 2016 and Windows 10 with no problem.

Re: sandboxie 4.20

No one is forcing you. You're free to choose the product and AV you want to use. Just like we have to decide for resources and manpower (and not compromise SBIE) in getting programs to work with SBIE AND with Windows 10, XP, Vista, 7, 8.0, 8.1. Other companies DO not offer that kind of support for ...

Re: sandboxie 4.20

Honestly, I don't run any AV when I'm using SBIE. I don't see the need. With all the new AV "suites" coming out that have bells and whistles...there is going to be conflict w/ SBIE. As they add ons need access outside or to very specific areas, services and drivers & SBIE will block that. Yes, you ...

Re: sandboxie 4.20

There are many options available for AV/Firewall solutions but there is little few alternatives doing what Sandboxie offers, almost none. Not sure why you think number of solutions have anything to do with it... Clearly you think that they are all pretty much interchangeable - from experi...

Re: sandboxie 4.20

KS 2015/16 at this time is not supported. It simply doesn't work. However, there are many A/V options that do thus far. http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=21539 Hi Craig, Understand that for right now Kaspersky 2016 and Windows 10 don't work with Sandboxie. And I would have no ...

Re: SBIE 2224 Error

I'm getting the SBIE 2224 error on Windows 10 Pro and the latest Sandboxie beta (5.01.10) with browser Internet Explorer 11. In my case, the security software is Kaspersky 2016. I get the error starting up in private mode too with no toolbars. Hope this gets fixed soon...

Re: sandboxie 4.20

Turns out that Sandboxie 3.76 and Kaspersky Internet Security 2016 work fine - go figure... I've reverted back until the issue is resolved and other Windows 7 SP1 x64 users who are stuck might wish to do so also. Windows 8.1 seems to be the sweet spot - no problems so far with Sandboxie 4.20 and KIS...

Does this mean that Kaspersky cannot examine network traffic in the sandbox?

Re: sandboxie 4.20

Kapersky has not been tested and may not work. Most (some) AV programs just don't play nice with SBIE, especially ones with tool bars and scanners. They need access. And, well..that defeats the purpose at times of SBIE. Actually, it fails in private mode with no tool bar add-ons, so that is not the...

Re: sandboxie 4.20

Kaspersky 2016 and Sandboxie 4.20 and later (including the latest beta) will fail with error below on Windows 7 64 bit. However, it seems to work fine on Windows 8.1 with the same versions of the software.

SBIE2205 Service not implemented: Win32Init.6 (000000AA)

Re: 5.01 Beta Available (latest version 5.01.5)

I cannot get 5.01.5 to work on Windows 7 with Kaspersky 2016 - I have no problem with Windows 8.1 and the same version of Kaspersky, however.
