Re: Chrome fails to terminate

Thanks, Guest 10. My preference may be to right-click and choose the named sandbox, since I use Chrome rarely. Good tip.

Re: Chrome fails to terminate

I've since run Chrome in the main sandbox, closed it after short-term use, and it terminated just fine. If it hadn't, I would have expected it to terminate after rebooting my computer, like last time. If I make Chrome a Leader program in a dedicated sandbox (call if "Chrome" e.g.), then when I close...

Re: Chrome fails to terminate

Thanks, but how would forcing Chrome and in a second sandbox ensure that it will terminate, once I end that sandbox or simply want to terminate all programs, all want to delete the contents (which I assume would normally terminate all programs in the sandbox)?

BTW: I have the paid version.

Re: Chrome fails to terminate

I don't want to do that because I don't use Chrome primarily. I use FireFox. Only now and then do I use Chrome.

Re: Chrome fails to terminate

Chrome is installed directly on the machine and not installed in a sandbox.

Re: Chrome fails to terminate under v5.05.2 until restart Wi

Well, I decided to reboot the OS ... Win 7, and Chrome.exe cleared out.

Re: Chrome fails to terminate

Looking at the Processes under Task Manager ... I see Chrome.exe *32 running in two instances. User Name is Anonymous Logon, as is the FireFox instance. I guess this the name is what gets shown when running in a sandbox. Tried to End Process from within the Task Manger with no success. I've also att...

Re: Chrome fails to terminate

Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiit's baaaaaaaaaaaaack. Just ran Chrome ... the Sandbox cleared when closed it but when I ran Chrome a second time ... now it won't terminate. Actually, there are two listings of Chrome.exe. PID 4952 and PID 7792, if that helps to know. I have two sandboxes. The Chrome.exe in two listin...

Re: Sandboxie.com Website Updates

Yeah. Have the armored soldier somewhere in the scene, along with the ham on crackers arranged like the SBIE icon. Those are the kinds of fun icons and pictures I'd plant in different areas around the 'sandbox' scene. This makes it 'intelligent', I guess, by having clues or things people notice upon...

Re: Sandboxie.com Website Updates

Oh, and be sure to have one or two people eating a slice of pepperoni pizza, showing the round pepperonis on the slices. Corny? You could start to make the scene ... inside or outside of the sheltered 'sandbox' area ... have different icons or goings on that have some sort of meaning related to Sand...

Re: Sandboxie.com Website Updates

IMHO ... not sure a guy sitting on a rock, on a mountain, with a laptop captures all that Sandboxie does. Why not show someone or a group of people ... all ages of computer users (some chatting together in casual dress drinking coffee, some meeting in a serious business meeting with suits, some in t...

Sandboxie user interface issues ...

When I open the Sandbox Settings window (right-click on the Sandboxie icon in the main window), I cannot resize it at all. And when I left-click on the Applications area in this same window, to reveal the various choices of Web Browswer, Email Reader, PDF / Printing, etc., in the left side margin, I...

Re: Chrome fails to terminate

Thanks, Craig; thanks, Bo. I'm updating to beta 5.05.2 now. FF has alerted me to update 41.0.2, and I'm updating to that, too.

Re: Chrome fails to terminate

Yes, I did read the announcement but I haven't installed the Beta because I'm not clear if people are having issues even with that. The follow up comments / postings on that Beta page seem to be people complaining about the issue(s) the Beta addresses instead of saying things about how well the Beta...
