SBIE 2399 SERVICE RPCSS FAILS WITH ERROR
Hi Tzuk, Thanks for your comment and question. Unfortunately this error occurs frequently, when my wife has been online and using the sandbox. However, she has not been able to define it further. Will suggest she stop and show the error as it occurs. Suspect she may be playing an online flash type g...

SBIE 2399 SERVICE RPCSS FAILS WITH ERROR
SBIE 2399 SERVICE RPCSS FAILS WITH ERROR occuring with Sandboxie version 3.56 and IE 9. Are there any ideas on this? See this has been a problem in April but the recommendation was to use an older beta version.
Thanks,
John

Registry Hive
Want to share my solution to the registry hive not deleting without a reboot. About once or twice every evening, Internet Explorer would freeze, and when forcibly terminated, the registry hive would not delete until after a reboot. This was resolved, for my situation, by changing the settings in Int...

Sandboxed IE 7 affects cache outside of sandbox
Deleting temporary internet cache, history, cookies passwords and form data causes these changes to occur outside of the sandbox. Unknowingly had a situation where certain testing of proxy software in the sandbox required removing old cache data. However, this also removed the cache data outside of ...

Thank you
Rarely post but follow the new threads daily. Tzuk, just wish to express a thank you for Sandboxie. It is used 100 percent of the time with IE and works well. Prior issue over the time IE takes to load a web page sandboxed seems to be related to running NIS 2007. It is no longer installed, running N...

Hi Mitch, This machine is not available for beta and test purposes, so unable to perform additional tasks which may shed some light as to why Internet Explorer 7 requires much longer to load a specific web page than the identical O/S setup, except with version 2.86 installed. The comparison was perf...

IE 7 takes longer to load web page
Hi,
This is starting to make sense. Symantec Internet security 2007 is running, with the add-on privacy pack. The firewall is active with phishing filter, and pop-up blocker.
Thank you.
John

only thing changed was version 2.86 to version 3
Hi, Made an image of the existing partition and then upgraded version 2.86 to version 3. Did this twice with the same results as far as IE 7 taking long to load. Restored to the image and the problem went away. Some of the notable software installed is Faxtalk, Microsoft works, Tuneup Utilities, Rox...

IE takes almost 3x longer to load page
Installed version 3 and found that running IE 7 sandboxed requires 66 seconds to load CNN front page. Version 2.86 requires 24 seconds to load the same page. Have installed it twice and each time restoring back to version 2.86 with similiar results. Running Windows Vista home Premium.

Windows XP Media Edition
Will Sandboxie run on Windows XP Media Edition? Unable to determine if it's 64 bit and the kernel protected. Sandboxie worked great on the old computer but unsure as to installing it on the new one.
Thanks,
John

Excellent Application
Sandboxie performs well, is easy to use, and provides much needed safety for the internet, as well as testing various and new applications. It is stable and has not caused any issues with the Windows XP kernel.
Thank you,
John
