Re: AquaSnap

nudone, thanks for the information. I tried AquaSnap v.1.15.1 and v1.14.2 under Windows 10 Pro and AquaSnap is unable to detect sandboxed programs. With v.1.15.1 there is also a big lag. Just for testing I added "OpenIpcPath=*\BaseNamedObjects\*" to the global settings and it solved both issues, but...

I still have problems with Firefox and Chrome when they are sandboxed and I can not find the source of the problem. I cannot download anything with Chrome. The browser always crashes. Firefox crashes or it seems like frozen while the download is launched. The download takes longer to start than expe...

OK. I solved the issue and I found another one. The RoboForm 7 + Firefox 3-step SearchCards error message persist. It seems to be an incompatibility between Sandboxie 4.x and SpyShelter. I had the Firefox errors because I added it to the Restricted Apps list of SpyShelter. I used this configuration ...

Re: I cannot launch Firefox sandboxed without errors (SB 4.0

OMG... Amazing the system still boots. Running Shadow Defender together with SBIE is an especially "wonderful" idea - 300% overlap. Yes, I know. Maybe it is not the best security/performance combo. I use Shadow Defender as a steady state system more than as a security software. You ha...

I cannot launch Firefox sandboxed without errors (SB 4.06)

Hello, Since the Sandboxie 4.x releases I cannot launch Firefox sandboxed without errors so I always end re-installing Sandboxie 3.76. With the default Sandboxie configuration I get the following error: “Firefox ya se está ejecutando, pero no responde. Para abrir una ventana nueva, debe cerrar antes...

Thanks a lot for this utility. I was looking for something like this for a long time . It helps me a lot, and it would help me even more if I were a more knowledge user (I am trying to open eml files in the Windows Live Mail's sandbox but the "/eml:" parameter makes me mad because the file path is a...

Sandboxed web browsers and DownloadStudio

Hello, Could someone tell me the Soandboxie’s settings for this download manager ? For example, I cannot enable the Clipboard Monitoring function when it runs sandboxed. I would like to run it unsandboxed or in a specific sandbox and integrate it with a sandboxed web browser such as Firefox. But may...

Thanks for the clarifications Mike. I was confused because Sandboxie usually adds some new lines to the old settings file. So, when I install a new version of Sandboxie the Sandboxie.ini file is updated, but some old configurations could remain. I assume it will be better to recreate all the sandbox...

Move Sandboxie’s settings from x86 to x64

Hello, I want to transfer the Sandboxie configuration of my old Windows 2000 machine to a new Windows 7 64bits one. Would it be a security risk if I copy-paste the Sandboxie.ini file from one computer to the other with just replacing [UserSettings_Xxxxxxxx] to [UserSettings_Default]? Does Sandboxie ...

Thanks very much for your detailed explanation. It seems that there is not easy way to accomplish what I wanted to do. The Firefox’s "Copy Link Location" is what I am using and it works really well on some DFM, like MiPony that monitors the clipboard (I can launch Fiefox in FF sandbox and MiPony in ...

Maybe the following could work, but I do not know with programs could I use for doing it. Does any one know how to do that? [Firefox] --> [A] --> File --> B --> {DFM} or DFM [] = Sandbox {}= Sandbox A= A program that takes the Firefox’s URLs and saves them in a unsandboxed file B= A program that det...

Is there anyway to send Firefox's links outside its Sandbox?

Hello, I want to be able to use a sandboxed Firefox to send links to Download Managers and P2P applications that are unsandboxed or inside other sandboxes (FlashGet, Ultra Recall, emule, bittorent, Mega Manager or MiPony for example). Is there any way to do that? Could I use FlashGot to redirect the...

Thanks for the clarification. I am sorry, I did not know that and I thought it was a security risk.
Adobe Acrobat 6 Pro is launched inside the sandbox and I thought that priPrinter should do the same.
Greetings.

Sandboxed programs launch priPrinter outside the sandbox

When you open a document inside a sandbox and you print it using priPrinter’s printer then priPrinter is launched outside the sandbox.

System information:
Windows 2000 SP4
Sandboxie 3.46
priPrinter Standard v3.2.0.1020 (http://www.priprinter.com/download.htm)
