Re: Product activation failed
Solved problem by checking certificates as Curt@invincea mentioned. What happened was the Update Root Certificates box was unchecked in XP Add/Remove Windows Components. I checked the box and inserted the install CD when prompted. Installed Sandboxie 5.16 and then activated the license. Check for up...

Re: Product activation failed
The offline activation did work as already mentioned on page 3 of this thread. It seems we are going around in circles here. I have in testing enabled/disabled both firewalls in trying to activate Sandboxie license. I allow connections to IP 67.227.172.122 in both firewall tests. If you could explai...

Re: Product activation failed
This is a customized Windows XP install with no AV. Third-party firewall I've used for several years. Anytime a program is installed I take a system snapshot which includes files and registry entries. If a program doesn't need a reboot it is tested by system wide virtualization before installing on ...

Re: Product activation failed
Fired up my third-party software firewall (Windows firewall disabled) and enabled logging. Firewall log reports suspicious packet being blocked in TCP 67.227.172 on port 443 when going to https://www.sandboxie.com/ but I am able to get to the link in browser. Doesn't Sandboxie activation now use HTT...

Re: Product activation failed
Curt and Barb, In order to add the Sandboxie exceptions and do firewall logging I needed to enable the Windows firewall. It was left on when installing Sandboxie 5.16 and activation of license. Hardly doubt that ISP is blocking. I also tested installing Malwarebytes Anti-Malware & it installs & upda...

Barb, Added all Sandboxie executables to exceptions list in Windows firewall and same result. (dropped) Result: Sandboxie failed to activate license. Re: Product activation failed
Barb, Tried your idea of unchecking my connection and turning off firewall. Unsuccessful in registering Sandboxie license. Didn't try adding all executable files to firewall exceptions since Windows firewall is disabled now. Noticed however a MD5 hash check test shows C:\Program Files\Sandboxie\Lice...

Re: Product activation failed
Barb, Windows firewall: Checked box for log dropped packets and log successful connections. Added port 443 in exceptions and added SbieSvc.exe in Add Program... Added IP address 67.227.172.122 to services in Advanced Settings. Firewall log shows: OPEN TCP (IP address- src-ip) 67.227.172.122 (dst-ip)...

Re: Product activation failed
Barb, No AV has been permanently installed on the real system. Cmd prompt shows an empty box on IP test. Also during testing starting with Sandboxie 5.10 installed I then installed Sandboxie 5.12 and registered the license. Then I installed Sandboxie 5.14 and again successfully registered the licens...

Nothing mentioned so far is working. Unable to activate Sandboxie license and check for updates failed to.
Firewall service was disabled. Currently still have Sandboxie 5.14 installed.

Re: Product activation failed
I'm seeing a TCP ack packet attack blocked in TCP at IP 67.227.172.122 on port 443 in firewall filter logs. Disabled firewall but still can't get Sandboxie update to work or activate license for 5.16 when installed. Note: OS is Windows XPSP3 and no AV is installed. Don't know of anything else that w...

Re: Product activation failed
Barb,
No AV is installed on the system. Had already disabled firewall before testing to make sure that
wasn't the issue. Went back to Sandboxie 5.14 until issues (update and activation) can be resolved.

Re: Product activation failed
Hi Barb. Tried clearing license and re-entering it but that didn't work. Tried reinstalling Sandboxie 5.16 and it installed but failed to activate license. Also when clicking on ' Check For Updates ' in Sandboxie Control I get this error message. Update failed: An error occurred while communicating ...

Re: Sandboxed Pale Moon browser cannot play youtube videos
Hello bo.
I have decided to keep my default sandbox settings hardened as much as possible since I
use that sandbox the most and only occasionally play youtube videos. I did create another
sandbox for flash with less restrictions and now the videos play. Thanks bo for responding.
