I'm aware of two things that will change Protected Mode default ON .... 1) Disable UAC and 2) Run As Admin. Both are not recommended...

Sorry, I am not sure I understand your post.... Protected Mode refers to the Internet zone for the Internet Explorer 7 browser not to Sandboxie.

thanks for the reply... just to clarify my issue, Since by default Vista is set to Standard User privileges and also by default Protected Mode is ON.... and when I open IE with Run then I am using Vista defaults and Protected Mode is ON.
