Network printer problems
I have two types of printers (Samsung and Brother). For both, I keep facing issues on a Sandboxed Chrome. Right now, I'm focusing on resolving the Brother printers issues. Both printers are networked (ie I setup the printer connection by saving a local path to the shared printers). Usually I don't h...

Re: Google Chrome crashing with no error
Norton Internet Security Online. It doesn't seem like security is the reason atm. Can you please re-test in a new sandbox with default settings? Still failed Do other browsers / applications launch Sandboxed? Internet explorer is my only other browser and it also failed. My PDF-XChange Editor opened...

Google Chrome crashing with no error
Sandboxed Chrome browser crashing with no error. It does show a Werfault.exe before crashing in sandboxie control but no error is sent to event viewer (probably prevented by sandboxie). Started since yesterday. Chrome works fine without sandboxie. Clearing sandboxie settings didn't help. Updating sa...

OpenFilePath and Website errors
Sandboxie's OpenFilePath option has stopped working. For PDFCreator, I would set OpenFilePath=chrome.exe,%LocalAppData%\Temp\PDFCreator\Spool\ Yet the error would state SBIE1319 Blocked spooler print to file, [3320] chrome.exe, \Device\HarddiskVolume3\Users\....\AppData\Local\Temp\PDFCreator\Spool\8...

Re: Printer issues ... again
Printed pages don't print. No error pops up. However, print jobs found in printer queue as error. Yes, it did work in the past. At first I thought it was a chrome update that caused it. But its not working with sandboxed notepad. I did discover that if I close the sandboxed notepad, the error print ...

Printer issues ... again

Re: Medical Imaging Disc Error
Aah, sorry. I overlooked that sentence. From my experience, med disks are usually self contained discs with a viewer and the DICOM images. In our office, I have a separate non-networked computer floating around specifically for viewing these images. Due to the variations among med disks, it may be d...

Re: Failed Print Jobs from any Sandboxed Programs
Thats what I have. OpenFilePath=\\CENTRAL-PC\Samsung SCX-4623 Series . I even tried OpenFilePath=\\CENTRAL-PC\ with no success. Update 1: I confirmed that the issue starts after version 5.06. I also tested version 5.07 Beta (5.08 RC), 5.08, and 5.10 (x64 bit editions) on Windows 10 Pro x64. Update 2...

Re: Medical Imaging Disc Error
From the .NET error, it looks like an permission issue. I don't have a CD/DVD drive but check if you can give Sandboxie readonly access to the entire CD/DVD drive (including an empty one) and then running the Disc.

Failed Print Jobs from any Sandboxed Programs
On one of my computers, I kept trying to print to my network printer via a Sandboxed x86 Chrome. However, the print job fails. Previously, some sort of error would pop up. It was resolved previously by OpenFilePath=NETWORKPATHTOPRINTER . Now it just fails with no error. This has been occurring for a...
