I want to be able to make sure that any email links from within Post Box and Thunderbird email clients are opened in my sandboxed Firefox - right now they are not.
1. Post Box is not a listed email client application - how do I add PB?
2. Where and how do I add at least Thunderbird so that the links open in a sandboxed FF?
Thanks so much...
Adding Post Box Email Client
Re: Adding Post Box Email Client
Hi windyctyprog, if Firefox is your default browser, links in emails should run in a sandboxed Firefox when you click on a link in an email if you are running Thunderbird sandboxed. I am not familiar with Thunderbird but you set TB to work properly sandboxed when you Tick Thunderbird in Sandboxie control>Sandbox>Default Box or Thunderbird Box>Applications>EMail Reader. There are different ways that you can run TB sandboxed in the free version, one way is right clicking on the TB icon in your desktop or Start menu and choosing to run the program sandboxed. Choose the sandbox that you set up to have TB run sandboxed. Try and see if it works now.windyctyprog wrote:2. Where and how do I add at least Thunderbird so that the links open in a sandboxed FF?

The normal procedure of opening a link on a sandboxed Post Box will cause your browser to run sandboxed using that same sandbox, even if you already have another instance of the browser running sandboxed or unsandboxed.
Even if the browser is forced to run using a different sandbox, it will use the sandbox that Post Box is using if you click a link there.
Of course, you can configure the sandbox so that it's used for both, your browser and Post Box.
Or, you can copy a link to the Clipboard and Paste it into the browser's address bar, which is what I do when the programs use different sandboxes.

Re: Adding Post Box Email Client
Go to Sandboxie rightclick your mouse on the Sandbox DefaultBox and go to Sandbox Settings--go to Progam Start
--Forced Programs Add Programs--type--Postbox.exe press OK and Postbox runs in the Sandbox.
If you want to download a Program via E=mail turn-off the above mentioned handling. Or use webmail which is not
in the sandbox.
