Try to apply your comment to that thread, just an example I bringed of the many I could have used, and tell me if you can.

For me the only objective comment can be "Yes, it is a shame". Rest are excuses.

And do not take it personally but I do not care about your guesses (or anyone´s not belonging to Invincea team) about why Curt is giving almost all the support when he is the lead developer and it is supposed to be a team supporting the product.

superkryo, I don't think is realistic to expect every program to work along Sandboxie. It would be nice if that was the case but is not realistic. Every program has conflicts with one program or another. When I say I feel bad if a program that's important for someone is not working with SBIE 4, I mean it but every program can be replaced. There are replacements, you know. In my honest opinion, the only program that I feel that I can not replace is Sandboxie. Sandboxie is point 0. I take it from there, if a program dont work nicely with SBIE, its got to go. By the way, Kiro, you might not remember but version 3 had conflicts with some programs too, not everything was perfect.

I think conflicts with programs like Office 2013 are important and must be resolved. I mean, a lot of people use Office, that's not an obscure program. But spending a lot of time to fix an issue that only affects one person who is using a legacy program is probably not a good idea. Regards.

I really appreciate superkryo´s comments because I was feeling alone, as I felt when I was banned for no reason by Ronen and nobody complained.

Oh, I am an uncomfortable user because I do not shut up as most users do. Live with that!
Buster, I already told you why you are the only one complaining. I tell you what, take a look at what others are saying elsewhere about Invincea and Sandboxie.

At first, when Sandboxie was sold, I felt kind of nervous about it, I even made fun of the name Invincea (sounds like the name of a barbarian king from the fourth and fifth century Europe) but real quick I became convinced that Tzuk made the right decision by choosing then to continue Sandboxie development. According to this poll, the majority of SBIE users feel same as I.

Now you know there are more people thinking like me. And there are more that do not want to post publicly telling the same. I know it because I have received private messages commenting it.

The users who voted that poll should review this thread:

http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=19481

as I told already, just an example of the many I could have used.

Maybe they could keep being happy with the product, but not with the support.

And remember: this thread requires a technical post from Invincea explaining why KIS works fine under Sandboxie 3.76 but fails under 4.x.

I guess the creator of the thread opened it expecting that. If I´m wrong I´ll be pleased if he corrects me.

Bo, Sandboxie has been a great product and we are here in hope it continues to be. I think bug reports and engagement from Invincea are the essential ingredients. It rather misses the point to go on stating how happy you are, because it does not help the one who reports a problem. Your happiness cannot solve his/her problem.

There are many intelligent and patient users who try many workaround and replacement before reporting. Your polling data posted above is again in the narrow use of web security.

While Buster has complained, but like you, he has also helped many over the years. It's not true that he is the only who complained, and we do not know how many complaints Curt and others have got and probably not even answered. If one can just look at how many unacknowledged reports in the beta threads. While no one like criticism much, Invincea does have obligations to it's paying users.

Let's not to be judgemental. My last post in this thread. Too much diversions.

Regards.

Just for the record I LOVE SANDBOXIE it is one of my favorite programs and I very much want it to succeed now and in the future!

With that said this post is to provide some support to the views of Superkyro and Buster.

I am an old timer here as well though I do not post very often, however, I do visit the forum almost every day to keep up with what is going on with Sandboxie. As a mostly passive onlooker I too can clearly see the reduction in support/problem solving by the new administration. It was much better when Ronen was running the company! My intention is not to deride Sandboxie, the new adminstration, or any of its users/forum members. My intent is to hopefully spur on the new administration to take a more active role in the forums and hopefully take a proactive approach to problem solving instead of just reactive which is currently poor to say the least! I have stopped reporting any problems I run into because of what I see in the forums and that is they are either not addressed at all or have typical responses like the following:

1. Don't run/use/install this or that
2. Run/use/install this or that instead
3. Hardly anyone uses this or that
4. Sandboxie runs this or that just fine on my system
5. People don't realize how much development time is required to fix this or that (sorry this is what you are paid for...In my working career as an engineer I would have loved to have been able to go to my manager and say that is to much work so I am not going to bother doing it...my butt would have been out the door so fast)

There is more but you get the idea...more exuses then real solutions!

Hopefully everyone can move forward with renewed hope that Sandboxie's support will improve...and with that in mind I have the perfect test. A few days ago a problem was reported which effects a core feature within Sandboxie itself see the following topic http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=20217 Other then a couple of comments, mine included, there has been no official acknowledgement from the developers I would like to see a REAL SOLUTION not solutions like use the old version that worked, don't/I don't use that feature or use/I use this instead, etc! Those are not real solutions! So step up guys and girls and get Sandboxie back on track!
Regards,

Monami

Superkyro, I have been using Sandboxie version 4 betas from day one. I always report problems if I find them or try to reproduce problems when an issue gets reported. Users like yourself, ought to do the same. Lets give something back to SBIE. I am not a computer guy, I don't do updates automatically for anything and sometimes I wait weeks before applying a windows update.

But Sandboxie is special, for Sandboxie, I am willing to guinea pig testing betas as soon as they come out. Or try to reproduce problems when reported. I do this things to help other SBIE users as well as Invincea. Perhaps, things would be a little better if users like yourself got involved a little more.

I really appreciate that, man!

When a few months ago I started a topic to comment the lack of support I did not receive any backup. It was shocking for me because I knew I was right but nobody steped in to support my comment.

Only now, after a few months of more poor support, has been when more voices start to be heard and just because I keep telling from time to time, in threads here and there, that the support continues to be really defficient.

This question is SO clear that for me it is amazing anyone can discuss that.

Amen to that! It is exactly my very same thought.

Most bug support became a "we have other priorities".

I will insist in a fact: When Ronen used to be the only one developing Sandboxie, the product was much better supported and a lot of different problems were being solved in acceptable time lapses. Now, Sandboxie is being supported by a team, and lots of bug reports don´t get even a reply, like the topic example I have been using today, or they receive a "this is not prioritary".

Excuses, excuses and very few support (Just for the main navigators like Firefox or Chrome). That´s the reality and the truth of actual Sandboxie´s support.

Just because there are not more people saying it clearly and louder does not mean it is less true.

Let´s remember what a user said:
More than a month later and no official response or acknowledgement.
Is sandboxie team reduced to one guy working part time on weekends now?
That´s a good resume about what support became.

Bo, just let me say briefly that I've also tested every beta of version 4. The specific problem of mine is with Matlab, which is a specialist software large user base in since/engineering/finance etc. The software is big so I like to have it sandboxed on a fast usb 3.0 thumb drive instead of filling up my ssd. I've reported in couple of beta versions and echoed another user's report, which is still open (http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 11&t=18845). None of these was followed up by Invincea, who also ignored my pm most of the time on this matter.

I don't expect people like you to look it this as the package is big and you can only run a demo version, unless you happen to be a suer also. Maybe you can help by putting a quiet word in Invincea's ear.
