Sorry - Problems right at install...

Post by mah » Tue Jul 10, 2007 4:04 pm

Installed 3.0 over 2.86 - when told to reboot at end of install did so - immediately got a blue screen with "Reference By Pointer" and upon booting back up a few error dialogs from SB....

Will email to you Ronen as I dont think I can attach the files here...

Thanks,
Mark.

Just wanted to note that after receiving an updated installer from Ronen, the subsequent upgrade, startup and use of v3 so far has been great with none of the issues I had experienced earlier.

Thanks,
Mark.

BSOD here as well

Post by Unknown_User_542 » Wed Jul 11, 2007 8:36 am

Win XP64bit system. Sorry, did not have time to copy the error code. However once in Windows I did receive the error the the SB driver was unable to load. When I tried to uninstall it I got a SB message that the service was running and to click OK to end it. This was not successful and the message continued to repeat. Had to boot into safe mode to uninstall v3. Back to v2.8 for now. Is the above mentioned installer for 64 or only 32bit.

Same issue here using the 64 bit sandboxie, I was coming here to report it. I have the minidumps from the crashes, if they will be helpful I will gladly upload them.

Bent, if you have minidumps for a crash that was the result of installing Sandboxie, then please mail them, or upload somewhere that I can download them. Thanks!

Ok, I have uploaded the files to rapidshare, URL is:

http://rapidshare.com/files/42373787/Minidump.zip.html

I didn't have a chance to glance at all the minidumps (5 of them) but I did notice that they were at least a little different in the details. If you need any more info just ask, glad to help :)

Cool, that seems to have done it, although I only had time to start IE, not test anything :) But the blue screen seems to have been fixed. I should have a chance to check some more tomorrow.

Thanks Bent. The link above to the 64Fix1.exe installer is now broken. I've replaced this installer as the 'official' version 3.00 installer for 64-bit, available from the download page.
