does sandboxie blocks exploit while using VLC media player, LibreOffice, etc.?

I'm not sure why nobody replied. But as long as you run these apps inside the sandbox, it will contain the malware that might be loaded when these apps are exploited, it's the same as with protecting the browser or any other app. That's the whole point of Sandboxie.
