Using Sandboxie to bypass Gameguard.

Post by Aliantha » Wed Dec 15, 2010 11:17 pm

I have been playing a rather fun little game called Return of Warrior (Formerly Risk Your Life) and I found that it uses Gameguard, which sadly causes my computer to react rather badly. It tends to mess with my mouse drivers, as well as causing my Logitech G15 to stop responding, making the LCD display rather useless. Also, it likes to think that my instance of FOOBAR 2000 is a game hack, when in reality is nothing more than an MP3 player.

Now, I really would love to be able to use Sandboxie, or anything really to disable the instance of Gameguard that is making my life a misery. I also want to make it clear that I do not want to do this to enable use of hack programs, as the game itself is not worth hacking. I would like it merely as a convenience kind of thing. I have played around with Sandboxie for hours, yet the only thing that happens is the game just shuts down with a Gameguard error and nothing happens, so any insight here would be greatly appreciated.

As far as I know, you can't do anything to either GameGuard or Sandboxie to make GameGuard not suspicious of Sandboxie. Sorry.

Any update

Any update on this? Gameguard is apparently detecting sandboxie as hack >.<

I am using sandboxed web browser then try opening a certain game with gameguard. After the game opens, the sandboxed web browser will have an error hack detected then will close.

I just want to use a sandboxed web browser for browsing while AFKing in a game. Doing the opposite (game with gameguard 1st then the sandboxed web browser) won't work as the sandboxed web browser doesn't open at all.

Please help as I want to browse safely the net while AFKing in a certain game that have gameguard >.<

Thanks!

You will need to take this complaint to the makers of GameGuard. More here,
