Autodesk Fusion 360

Post by FPB » Thu Nov 03, 2016 1:35 pm

I can't get Autodesk Fusion360 to install inside a sandbox using Windows 7.

1. Start browser inside sandbox
2. Start TRIAL installation http://www.autodesk.com/products/fusion-360

Installation stops at around 50 % with an error message from the installer = "OS error - winerror1 - acge222.dll"

Could somebody please try out, if there is actually a way to get it working, maybe by changing a sandboxie setting? And if that is not possible, could the staff please check out if it is possible to make it work?

Thanks and greetings

Which version of Sandboxie were you trying? 5.14? There's a fix for installer issues in the beta:
http://forums.sandboxie.com/phpBB3/view ... 59&t=23535
2) Fixed elevated install failure introduced in 5.14.
Maybe try that and see if it solves it for you?

Sorry i forgot to mention which sandboxie version i was using - I was using the latest Version - 5.14 - 64bit.
I have tried now the latest Beta, as you suggested, but the installation error still occurs at around 50 % with the same "winerror1 - acge222.dll" failure message.

I'm hoping that somebody who knows sandboxie better than me, finds a simple way to get it working, like turning a sandboxie option on or off... or hopefully a developer could have a quick look at it...

I created two new sandbox with default settings and it is letting me open autodesk Fusion. I would check if you have enough RAM to run multiple instances of this program.

Thanks for the reply Chris.
I have 16 GB of RAM on this system so i guess that would not be an issue.
May i know if you installed Autodesk Fusion360 outside of a Sandbox or inside a Sandbox? What i'm trying to archive is to install Fusion360 inside a Sandbox.

@FPB

Ram looks good. I have the same. I installed it outside of SBie. I created 3 sandboxes and ran 3 instances.
