I have been running Steam sandboxed for a couple years now and have never had problems playing my games online and joining servers (TF2, The Forest, L4D2, etc), but I am unable to do so with 7 Days to Die.
I am able to play offline single-player because the startup window is a prompt to start the game with or without their anti-cheat service (EasyAntiCheat), and the game works fine with the service disabled - but that means I can't join any servers that have it enabled (99%).
When I try to start the game with anti-cheat, the EasyAntiCheat window comes up and tries to load the service, but gets stuck and gives this error: "Loading Error: Insufficient user privileges to start EasyAntiCheat Service"
I've tried playing around with the sandbox options to give the easyanticheat.exe more permissions, etc.. but I can't figure out how to get it to work. It's kinda boring playing offline, so any help would be appreciated.
I'm running Windows 7 Ultimate x64 with an older version of Sandboxie 3.64 (64-bit) - haven't changed anything in a while because it's always worked fine with the original settings I made it with - I'm afraid to update to a new version for fear of losing my settings and having to figure out how to get steam working again properly, re-download all my content, etc.

Re: EasyAntiCheat - Insufficient User Privileges (Steam - 7D
Upgrading SBIE would not erase your settings. SBIE doesn't address any anti-cheat issues with Steam. It could be that Steam has made updates as well.
Re: EasyAntiCheat - Insufficient User Privileges (Steam - 7D
I updated to the newest version of sandboxie and it did not fix the problem.
I noticed when I tried to reinstall EasyAntiCheat, even if I try and run the installer as UAC Administrator, I get this sandboxie popup error: SBIE2211 Sandboxed service failed to start (http://www.sandboxie.com/index.php?SBIE2211)
If I dismiss the sandboxie window, the installer window comes up and seems to work fine as I go through the reinstallation process, but obviously something is not working correctly. Any help on how to get this EasyAntiCheat service working?

No. We're not actively working on this. So, it may or may not work. We know the Steam client works, that's it.
to reinstall EasyAntiCheat,
Re: EasyAntiCheat - Insufficient User Privileges [SOLVED]
I can confirm this is still happening. It is extremely annoying because I install my games Sandboxed (to prevent settings from being scattered across computer and to delete games easily when done).
Watch Dogs 2 is unplayable in Sandboxie unless you install EasyAntiCheat, which is not able to due to insufficient priveledges.
Argggggggggggggggh!!!
