Backup function for the new 3.02.2x series
Now that everything can be managed from the GUI could you please add a backup function for the .ini file so that in case of a necessary reinstall one can restore all the settings again with one click?
Currently upgrades preserve the configuration file, so perhaps what would be better would be to add an option during uninstall to do a complete uninstall vs. an uninstall but preserve settings. The installation routine would then have to check for the existence of a configuration file before creating a new one.

I have to admit that I'm reluctant to add anything to the installer now that it's already translated into several languages. Furthermore most people, I think, do simply upgrade their Sandboxie so they don't have to worry about this. And finally, most people, I think, don't configure Sandboxie to such extreme that it would really be pity to lose the configuration.
All in all, I'm trying to say, that if you have a very complicated ini file you wish to back up, then simply navigate to the folder containing it, select Copy, navigate elsewhere, select Paste ...

With the translation issue in the middle I can imagine your reluctance to change anything to the installer at this stage.tzuk wrote:if you have a very complicated ini file you wish to back up, then simply navigate to the folder containing it, select Copy, navigate elsewhere, select Paste ...
As even the residual C0000023 problems were completely resolved by overwriting 3.02.28 with 3.02.29 without any recourse to an uninstall\reinstall, a DIY backup with a simple copy/paste is fine for the moment.
Who knows, perhaps at a later stage
