Automatic recovery
Automatic recovery
I would like the automatic file recovery feature to be available on a folder by folder basis, not just as a global option.

The instructions say to use the Automatic cleanup section for this, which means that, if I understand correctly, when I tick the box it applies to all listed folders; whereas I only want 1 out of 4 folders auto-recovered. Or are you saying I can edit the ini file for indiividual folder recovery?

Here's my list of auto-recover folders:
%Favorites%
%Personal%
%Desktop%
c:\xxx
c:\yyy
For the last two only, I would like SB to ask me each time I put a file in those locatiions whether I want it saved immediately. The reason is that I inevitably wish to access those files quickly and permanently outside the sandbox, whereas for anything in the other locations, I mainly just want to know about it on exit.

Dude, tzuk answered your question in the first post:
in SBIE Control, goto Configuration > Edit Configuration, then just add this to your ini (lets say you want to auto recover files in a folder called "Download" on your root drive);
e.g.
RecoverFolder=C:\Download
see how simple it is
See, thats all you got to do, just add the path (to your folder you'll be using) as a RecoverFolder, if you need to know how, just do this:The AutoRecover setting applies to folders listed in RecoverFolder settings.

I have been using the wrong terminology, referring to Autorecover when I should have been referring to 'immediate recovery'. It is the latter that I want applied to individual folders, which I think Tzuk understood,.SnDPhoenix wrote:Dude, tzuk answered your question in the first post:See, thats all you got to do, just add the path (to your folder you'll be using) as a RecoverFolder, if you need to know how, just do this:The AutoRecover setting applies to folders listed in RecoverFolder settings.

wtf... , thats how you get Immediaterecover working with those folders... here let me add something i didnt put in my previous post.
Edit your configuration and add the folders you want to be Immediately recovered the way i said in my previous post THEN add to your configuration this line
AutoRecover=Yes
there you have it, you will have ImmediateRecovery turned on, and it will immediately recover from any folders you have listed as RecoverFolder=blahblahblah.

Ahhhhhh, i see, so you have four recovery folders, 2 of those folders you want to just Quick Recover, the other 2 folders you want to Immediately Recover right? well, unfortunately you cant specify seperate folders for quick and immediate recovery , either turn immediate recovery on for all folders or off for all folders, sooooooo, maybe this should be a possible suggestion which could be to have the options to add folders using the current command "RecoverFolder"(which would be for the normal quick recovery) or a new command such as "ImmediateRecover"(which would be for immediate recovery)
