I installed Picasa in a sandbox but I can't get the PicasaPhotoViewer to work as the default program to view photos. I right clicked on an image and manually selected to have it always open with the PicasaPhotoViewer (I pointed to the .exe inside of my sandbox folder) but the program just launches and says "Invalid Image".
So how do I get PicasaPhotoViewer to work as the default photo viewer while remaining in the sandbox?
Picasa Photo Viewer Issue
Hello, please provide info about your OS version and the exact version of PicasaPhotoViewer. I'd also like to note that these types of topics are best suited to the problem reports subforum.
One Program to rule them all, One Program to confine them, One Program to wrest them all and in the sandbox bind them.

Nothing that I can think of, that's practical anyway.
Some File Types could probably be specified to use that program in the sandbox (in XP, I don't know about other OS's), using XP's Folder Options > File Types > Advanced > Open > Edit. But it wouldn't affect every graphics file type and would be cumbersome to try to set up.
If you wanted that program to always open graphics using a sandbox, and if you had a registered version of Sandboxie, you could force that program's .exe to always use the sandbox of your choice.
Even then though, if you were using a sandboxed program, such as a sandboxed Windows Explorer to open the graphics file, the sandbox that would be used is the one that Windows Explorer was using at the time.

Viewing photos in Sandboxed Picasa Photo Viewer
I've found a couple of easy ways to open a photo in a sandboxed Picasa Photo viewer. Assuming you've installed Picasa 3 through Sandboxie, and chosen Picasa Photo Viewer as the default photo viewer during the setup:
1) Browse to the photo using a nomral, non-sandboxed Windows Explorer window, right click on the photo, and choose 'Run Sandboxed'
-OR-
2) Browse to the photo using sandboxed Windows Explorer, and simply double-click on it
Does anyone know of any easy way to make 'Run Sandboxed' the default double-click behaviour for a given extension?
