Start Menu
Well there is already a start menu in SB, but it only shows programs installed onto the pc (outside SB) what i would like to see is another start menu added to sb that shows the programs installed into sb, it would allow you to be able to keep track of the programs installed into sb without having to constantly "explore sandbox" and browse to program files or desktop to launch the shortcut etc. also instead of adding a new start menu you could just modify the existing sandboxie start menu by adding a sub folder called "Sandboxie Programs" or similar, that way you would have 3 subfolders in the SB start menu, "Desktop", "Programs", "Sandboxie".
i second this idea full throttle, maybe also make a sandboxed desktop and/or quicklaunch section in the sandboxie window thats shown in listview or something.
i really think with a little litte bit more attention to the gui, this app could go a loooong way, maybe try to mimic the windows gui inside the sandboxie window in a minimal form. like take the main sb window you have now, but make it show the icons in normal desktop fashion that the sanboxed desktop has, a collum on the side that shows the processes running, a start button allong the bottom like the real thing. and a terminate all sb apps and clear out sb buttons beside the start button. this will make the app extremely usable and marketable a big version 3 release maybe?
the app itself is already a crazy-wonderful idea and it works exellent for me. im always trying apps here and there, not keeping to many of them. its nice to not really have to spend the time and clean them out... really nice.

I wanted to add my support for this feature.
I like to test all my new software in sbie and leave it in there for a few days just to make sure everything is ok. But it's a bit of a pain to have to find the application in the desktop or progam menu.
Also with this functionality you would be able to see exactly whats installed in the sbie at a glance.

Hello,
Let's have the full vision for the developers:
SB Start menu, SB Desktop, SB Quick Launch and.....then we will ALL want a SB Add/ Remove Programs!
This has more to do with installing, trying and exploring various applications and softwares without 'damageing' your core windows installation, than, the security aspect of it.
I hope that I am in line with the previous posters in this thread.
Yes, I too am all for it.
Regards,
Ravindra.

Please don't flame me for having a different opinion...
I think that Sandboxie's second most important benefit is in being able to delete the sandbox contents and start fresh again.
A menu of programs installed in the sandbox would only make sense to me if you have decided that you're not going to delete the sandbox contents. What if you have spyware, malware, etc infecting your sandbox. Wouldn't you want to delete it at some point?
If so, what good is having a start menu for programs that were installed there? The menu would have to be re-created each time you delete the contents, and install new programs.

No your not gonna have a start menu for programs that were their, youll have a start menu for programs that ARE there, and also why couldnt you delete your sandbox if you had this start menu, i mean if you have 5 different programs installed then you would see the five listed, and once you delete the sandbox, then the start menu would to be cleared so its empty again (just like the sandboxed) then if you install 2 programs, you would see only those 2 programs listed and the cycle continues.

Hello,
SnDPhoenix, you have got me right.
Consider this not from the PC security angle but from program evaluation angle...you try out some apps, like some, don't like some.
Deleting just the ones you don't want will be easy if we have a start menu.
For worries about retaining malware in the sandbox....make sure that you run potentially harmful apps in isolated sandbox.
Normal user will use default sandbox and flush out everything. But a person who understands creation of multiple sandboxes will also understand the need to keep them isolated.
I think all this is about extending the applications of Sandboxie.

Hello,
Me too there for those features. I love to try out all the "JUNK" soft wares available on the web. If I like them keep it. Else scrap it, which will make my PC slow & cry – calls for reformatting every 3-4 months. SanboxIE is a reliever.
I could figure out a round about method for Uninstall of the software under Sandbox mode. There is a Tool called Ccleaner from www.Ccleaner.com . Run it in Sandbox mode. Locate your software under Tools > Uninstall > “your softwareâ€
